BCL6 forms a complex with BCL6 corepressor (BCoR (show BCOR Antibodies)) on the promoters of selected Notch (show NOTCH1 Antibodies) target genes such as enhancer of split related 1.
Bcl6, by interacting with the co-factors NcoR2 (show NCOR2 Antibodies) and HDAC3 (show HDAC3 Antibodies), plays a pivotal role in controlling IRF7 (show IRF7 Antibodies) induction and antiviral signaling priming.
Bcl6 promoted T follicular helper cell differentiation through antagonizing IL-7R / STAT5a (show STAT5A Antibodies) axis.
Bob1 (show POU2AF1 Antibodies) directly binds to and transactivate the Bcl6 promoter during the development of follicular T helper cells .
upon binding to a composite NFAT (show NFATC1 Antibodies)/BCL6 regulatory element within the Ccl2 (show CCL2 Antibodies) promoter, NFATc1 (show NFATC1 Antibodies)/beta proteins release the BCL6-dependent repression of Ccl2 (show CCL2 Antibodies) gene in macrophages.
transferred Bcl6-deficient T cells into wildtype hosts. Bcl6-deficient T cells did not develop into GC Tfh, but they still generated CXCR5 (show CXCR5 Antibodies)+ IFN-gamma (show IFNG Antibodies)+ IL-21 (show IL21 Antibodies)+ IL-10 (show IL10 Antibodies)+ Teff, suggesting that this predominant population is not of the Tfh-lineage
Bcl6 middle domain repressor function is required for T follicular helper cell differentiation and utilizes the corepressor MTA3 (show MTA3 Antibodies).
Data indicate that signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (Stat3 (show STAT3 Antibodies)) can repress the expression of transcription factor Bcl6 and interleukin-4 (IL-4 (show IL4 Antibodies)) in follicular helper T (TFH) cells.
Enforced expression of BCL6 in EGR2 (show EGR2 Antibodies)/3-deficient CD4 (show CD4 Antibodies) T cells partially restored Tfh differentiation and GC formation in response to virus infection
PRMT7 (show PRMT7 Antibodies) could recruit H4R3me1 and symmetric H4R3me2 to the Bcl6 promoter. These results provide evidence for the important roles played by PRMT7 (show PRMT7 Antibodies) in germinal center formation.
Blimp1 (show PRDM1 Antibodies) (encoded by Prdm1 (show PRDM1 Antibodies)) inhibits T(FH) differentiation by antagonizing Bcl-6. TCF-1 (show HNF1A Antibodies) promoted Bcl-6 expression but repressed Blimp1 (show PRDM1 Antibodies) expression.
Data show there was a positive correlation between B cell lymphoma 6 (Bcl-6) and B lymphocyte-induced maturation protein 1 (Blimp-1 (show PRDM1 Antibodies)) at the level of mRNA.
miR (show MLXIP Antibodies)-155 overexpression plays a promoting role in the proliferative, migratory and invasive behavior of OSCC cells. Its effects on OSCC are possibly associated with its regulation of the BCL6/cyclin D2 (show CCND2 Antibodies) axis.
BCL6 Rearrangements are associated with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma.
diffuse large B-cell lymphoma patients with either MYC (show MYC Antibodies)/BCL6 rearrangements or MYC (show MYC Antibodies)/BCL6 co-expression did not always have poorer prognosis
BCL6 promotes proliferation and survival of trophoblastic cells.
Studies indicate that germinal centers (GC) B (show NPR2 Antibodies) cells represent the normal counterpart of most B-cell lymphomas, which are often characterized by deregulated B cell lymphoma 6 (BCL6) expression or BCL6-mediated pathways.
Bcl-6 mRNA and protein levels, as well as the frequencies of Bcl-6(+)CD4 (show CD4 Antibodies)(+) cells were significantly increased in polyp tissues compared with normal controls.
Follicular helper T cells differentiation is a multistage process involving BCL6 and other transcription factors, cytokines, and costimulation through ICOS (show CTLA4 Antibodies) and several other molecules. (Review)
These results suggest that STAT6 (show STAT6 Antibodies) plays an important role in regulating Sp1 (show PSG1 Antibodies) and BCL6 through STAT2 (show STAT2 Antibodies) to exert the anti-proliferative effects of type I IFN.
The protein encoded by this gene is a zinc finger transcription factor and contains an N-terminal POZ domain. This protein acts as a sequence-specific repressor of transcription, and has been shown to modulate the transcription of START-dependent IL-4 responses of B cells. This protein can interact with a variety of POZ-containing proteins that function as transcription corepressors. This gene is found to be frequently translocated and hypermutated in diffuse large-cell lymphoma (DLCL), and may be involved in the pathogenesis of DLCL. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different protein isoforms have been found for this gene.
