  3. signaling via activin (show Actbeta ELISA Kits)-like kinase 3 (ALK3/BMPR1A), a BMP type 1 receptor, is necessary for blastocyst attachment.

  4. Interactions between mechanical loading and BMP signaling through BMPR1A.

  5. Myo-endothelial progenitors with functioning Bmpr1a signalling demonstrate myogenic potential, but their main function in vivo is to inhibit intramuscular adipogenesis, both through a cell-autonomous and a cell-cell interaction mechanism.

  6. Bmpr1a is critical for the development and growth of the mandibular condyle via its effect on proliferation of prechondroblasts and chondrocyte differentiation

  7. BMP-Smad4 (show SMAD4 ELISA Kits) signaling is required for precartilaginous mesenchymal condensation independent of Sox9 (show SOX9 ELISA Kits) in the mouse.

  8. An essential role of finely tuned BMPRIA mediated signaling in temporomandibular joint development.

  9. Alk3 mediated Bmp signaling is important in the cascade of events that regulate the contribution of EPDCs to the AV sulcus, annulus fibrosus, and the parietal leaflets of the AV valve

  10. Anti-Mullerian hormone (show AMH ELISA Kits) recruits BMPR-IA in immature granulosa cells

Xenopus laevis Bone Morphogenetic Protein Receptor 1A (BMPR1A) interaction partners

Human Bone Morphogenetic Protein Receptor 1A (BMPR1A) interaction partners

  1. Duplication of 10q22.3-q23.3 encompassing BMPR1A gene is associated with congenital heart disease, microcephaly, and mild intellectual disability

  2. Authors analyzed human databases from TCGA and survival data from microarrays to confirm BMPR1a tumor promoting functions, and found that high BMPR1a gene expression correlates with decreased survival regardless of molecular breast cancer subtype.

  4. Results support a novel role for miR-885-3p in tumor angiogenesis by targeting BMPR1A, which regulates a proangiogenic factor.

  5. Decreased expression of BMPR1A was associated malignant gallbladder lesions.

  6. High BMPR1A expression is associated with glioma tumorigenesis.

  7. Data show that USP15 (show USP15 ELISA Kits) enhances BMP-induced phosphorylation of SMAD1 (show GARS ELISA Kits) by interacting with and deubiquitylating ALK3.

  8. This is the first case report to document coding exon 3 duplication in the BMPR1A gene in a patient with juvenile polyposis syndrome.

  9. results provide evidence that HFE (show HFE ELISA Kits) induces hepcidin (show HAMP ELISA Kits) expression via the BMP pathway: HFE (show HFE ELISA Kits) interacts with ALK3 to stabilize ALK3 protein and increase ALK3 expression at the cell surface.

  10. BMP15 (show BMP15 ELISA Kits) down-regulates StAR expression and decreases progesterone production in human granulosa cells, likely via ALK3-mediated SMAD1 (show GARS ELISA Kits)/5/8 signaling.

BMPR1A Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

The bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) receptors are a family of transmembrane serine/threonine kinases that include the type I receptors BMPR1A and BMPR1B and the type II receptor BMPR2. These receptors are also closely related to the activin receptors, ACVR1 and ACVR2. The ligands of these receptors are members of the TGF-beta superfamily. TGF-betas and activins transduce their signals through the formation of heteromeric complexes with 2 different types of serine (threonine) kinase receptors: type I receptors of about 50-55 kD and type II receptors of about 70-80 kD. Type II receptors bind ligands in the absence of type I receptors, but they require their respective type I receptors for signaling, whereas type I receptors require their respective type II receptors for ligand binding.
