Cow (Bovine) Polyclonal CD2BP2 Primary Antibody for IHC (p), WB - ABIN374445
Nishizawa, Freund, Li, Wagner, Reinherz: Identification of a proline-binding motif regulating CD2-triggered T lymphocyte activation. in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America 1999
CD2BP2 is the ligand of the membrane-proximal proline-rich tandem repeat of CD2 (show CD2 Antibodies) in detergent-soluble membrane compartments.
there is a function of the GYF domain of CD2BP2 in mediating protein-protein interactions within the spliceosome
interaction of CD2BP2 with a tri (show VANGL2 Antibodies)-snRNP (show LSM2 Antibodies) bridging protein (Prp6 (show PRPF6 Antibodies)), coupled with CD2BP2's absence from the tri (show VANGL2 Antibodies)-snRNP (show LSM2 Antibodies), suggests it might function in tri (show VANGL2 Antibodies)-snRNP (show LSM2 Antibodies) assembly
findings indicate that CD2BP2 is not a constitutive binding partner or key regulator of CD2 (show CD2 Antibodies)-mediated signaling events
This gene encodes a bi-functional protein. In the cytoplasm, the encoded protein binds the cytoplasmic tail of human surface antigen CD2 via its C-terminal GYF domain, and regulate CD2-triggered T lymphocyte activation. In the nucleus, this protein is a component of the U5 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein complex and is involved in RNA splicing. A pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 7. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants but their biological validity has not been determined.
