genetic or chemical inhibition of cannabinoid receptor (Cnr (show PCDHA1 ELISA Kits)) activity disrupts liver development and metabolic function in zebrafish.
Cannabinoid Receptor-2 Regulates Embryonic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Development via Prostaglandin E2 and P-Selectin (show SELP ELISA Kits) Activity.
Activation of the Cnr2 receptor inhibits leukocyte migration in response to acute injury.
Induction of apoptosis was mediated via CB1 (show CNR1 ELISA Kits) as well as CB2, and expression of CB receptors was a prerequisite for therapy response in our models.
CNR2 gene has an important role in the etiology of osteoporosis and suggest that it may be a genetic risk factor for BMD and osteoporosis in Han Chinese postmenopausal women.
Human lung-resident macrophages express CB1 (show CNR1 ELISA Kits) and CB2 receptors whose activation inhibits the release of angiogenic and lymphangiogenic factors
A histological activity index (HAI (show SPINT1 ELISA Kits)) > 8 (Ishak scoring) was more frequent in patients with CB2-63 RR than in those with CB2-63 QR or QQ (37% vs. 16.7%, p < 0.05).
Study demonstrates the up-regulation of CB2 receptors in glial elements in postmortem tissues of Parkinson's disease patients and an inflammatory mouse model
Association between the CB2 Q63R functional variant and the age at menarche in obese girls.
CB2 receptor activation can attenuate HAND severity by inhibiting HIV replication, blunting HIV-triggered neuroinflammation, preventing HIV-induced damage to Blood-brain-barrier integrity, and preventing HIV-associated synapse loss.
Targeting CB2 may represent an attractive approach to treat cancers of immune origin.
results suggest that rs2501431, rs3003336, rs2229579, and rs4237 polymorphisms in CNR2 genes may be genetic factors affecting bone mineral density in Korean postmenopausal women
no significant differences between preeclamptic and normal placenta in terms of CB2 and FAAH (show FAAH ELISA Kits) expressions and immunoreactivity
Data indicate that, in the mouse hippocampus, CB2R mRNAs are primarily expressed in a subset of excitatory and inhibitory neurons; amount of CB2R mRNAs in the mouse hippocampus is stable during postnatal development, from age 1 week to adulthood
Findings indicate a physiologic role of type 2 cannabinoid receptor (CB2) in regulating the onset of meiosis and in maintaining the homeostasis of spermatogenesis.
These results demonstrate a role for CB2 receptors in modulating energy homeostasis and obesity associated metabolic pathologies in the absence of any adverse impact on mood.
Data shows a BAC transgenic GFP reporter mice retracing the expression pattern of CB2 in spleen B-cells, thymus and microglia.
Data suggest that partial ligation of sciatic nerve induces CB2 receptor (Cnr2) expression in ipsilateral spinal cord, but not contralateral cord; oral administration of Cnr2-selective phytocannabinoid exerts analgesic effect in sciatic neuropathy.
CB2 receptor expression increased after injury and was associated with high neurological deficit whereas no correlation with edema was found.
results demonstrate that enhanced antibody responses in the absence of CB1 (show CNR1 ELISA Kits) and CB2 receptors are not due to increased sympathetic noradrenergic neuronal activity in the spleen.
Results suggest that social environment critically affects the modulatory function of CB2 receptors, especially in alcohol intake
This study reveals a novel cellular function of CB2 cannabinoid receptors in the hippocampus and provides insights into how cannabinoid receptor subtypes diversify the roles of cannabinoids in the brain
The cannabinoid delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol is the principal psychoactive ingredient of marijuana. The proteins encoded by this gene and the cannabinoid receptor 1 (brain) (CNR1) gene have the characteristics of a guanine nucleotide-binding protein (G-protein)-coupled receptor for cannabinoids. They inhibit adenylate cyclase activity in a dose-dependent, stereoselective, and pertussis toxin-sensitive manner. These proteins have been found to be involved in the cannabinoid-induced CNS effects (including alterations in mood and cognition) experienced by users of marijuana. The cannabinoid receptors are members of family 1 of the G-protein-coupled receptors.
