Human Polyclonal CDCA4 Primary Antibody for WB - ABIN2773971
Abdullah, Jing, Spassov, Nachtman, Jurecic: Cloning and characterization of Hepp, a novel gene expressed preferentially in hematopoietic progenitors and mature blood cells. in Blood cells, molecules & diseases 2001
CDCA4 participates in the regulation of cell proliferation, mainly through the E2F/retinoblastoma protein pathway
Data suggest that CDCA4 is involved in spindle organization from prometaphase, and when anaphase begins, it may play a different role as a midzone factor involved in chromosome segregation or cytokinesis.
an important role of CDCA4 in the context of transcriptional regulation and cell fate determination through the JUN oncogene (show JUN Antibodies)
The evolutionary conservation and murine embryonic expression of the gene encoding the SERTA domain-containing protein Cdca4 was studied.
This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the E2F family of transcription factors. This protein regulates E2F-dependent transcriptional activation and cell proliferation, mainly through the E2F/retinoblastoma protein pathway. It also functions in the regulaton of JUN oncogene expression. This protein shows distinctive nuclear-mitotic apparatus distribution, it is involved in spindle organization from prometaphase, and may also play a role as a midzone factor involved in chromosome segregation or cytokinesis. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been noted for this gene. Two pseudogenes have also been identified on chromosome 1.
