Human Cell Division Cycle Associated 7 (CDCA7) interaction partners

  1. Missense mutations in CDCA7 cause immunodeficiency-centromeric instability-facial anomalies syndrome type 3.

  2. Data indicate that cell division cycle associated 7 protein (show CDCA7L Proteins) (Cdca7) is strongly up-regulated in the hemogenic population during embryonic stem cell hematopoietic differentiation in a Notch (show NOTCH1 Proteins)-dependent manner.

  3. The CDCA7 transcription factor regulates cell proliferation.

  4. CDCA7 associates with MYC (show MYC Proteins) and this association is modulated in a phosphorylation-dependent manner.

  5. JPO1/CDCA7 is a unique transcription regulator whose expression is activated by E2F1 (show E2F1 Proteins) as well as c-Myc (show MYC Proteins).

CDCA7 Protein Profile

Protein Summary

This gene was identified as a c-Myc responsive gene, and behaves as a direct c-Myc target gene. Overexpression of this gene is found to enhance the transformation of lymphoblastoid cells, and it complements a transformation-defective Myc Box II mutant, suggesting its involvement in c-Myc-mediated cell transformation. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
