Cytochrome c oxidase (COX), the terminal enzyme of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, catalyzes the electron transfer from reduced cytochrome c to oxygen. Additionally we are shipping Cytochrome C Oxidase Subunit VIb Polypeptide 1 (Ubiquitous) Antibodies (95) and Cytochrome C Oxidase Subunit VIb Polypeptide 1 (Ubiquitous) Proteins (13) and many more products for this protein.
p2 peptide from HIV-1 enhances HIV-1 acute infection by increasing intracellular ATP production via the activation of mitochondrial cytochrome c (show CYCS ELISA Kits) oxidase (MT-CO) involved in the respiratory chain
Data found that subunits Cox6a (show COX6A1 ELISA Kits), Cox6b and Cox7a (show COX7A1 ELISA Kits) assembled into pre-existing complex IV, while Cox4-1 (show COX4I1 ELISA Kits) and Cox6c (show COX6C ELISA Kits) subunits assembled into subcomplexes that may represent rate-limiting intermediates.
two siblings with severe infantile encephalomyopathy revealed the presence of a missense mutation in the COX6B1 gene
gene expression of the Cox (show CPOX ELISA Kits) subunits, Cox5a (show COX5A ELISA Kits), 5b, and 6b1 is not required for embryo developmental events up to the blastocyst stage
Cytochrome c oxidase (COX), the terminal enzyme of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, catalyzes the electron transfer from reduced cytochrome c to oxygen. It is a heteromeric complex consisting of 3 catalytic subunits encoded by mitochondrial genes and multiple structural subunits encoded by nuclear genes. The mitochondrially-encoded subunits function in electron transfer, and the nuclear-encoded subunits may be involved in the regulation and assembly of the complex. This nuclear gene encodes subunit VIb. Mutations in this gene are associated with severe infantile encephalomyopathy. Three pseudogenes COX6BP-1, COX6BP-2 and COX6BP-3 have been found on chromosomes 7, 17 and 22q13.1-13.2, respectively.
