DPP8 encodes a member of the peptidase S9B family, a small family of dipeptidyl peptidases that are able to cleave peptide substrates at a prolyl bond. Additionally we are shipping Dipeptidyl-Peptidase 8 Kits (11) and Dipeptidyl-Peptidase 8 Proteins (6) and many more products for this protein.

DPP8 was found in macrophages of carotid atherosclerotic plaque and may play a role in disease progression.
this study demonstrates for the first time that DP8 and DP9 (show DPP9 Antibodies) are expressed in breast and ovarian carcinoma cell lines
Data identify modification points in the topology of a representative DPP8/9-inhibitor, capable of rendering selectivity for DPP8 over DPP9 (show DPP9 Antibodies).
This is the first study to demonstrate the presence of DP8 in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and the upregulation of DP8 mRNA in CLL.
DPP8 and DPP9 (show DPP9 Antibodies) prevail over canonical DPP-IV/CD26 (show DPP4 Antibodies) and FAPalpha in all examined meningioma patients
cells overexpressing DP8 exhibit behavioral changesin the presence of ECM (show MMRN1 Antibodies) components; these effects were independent of enzyme activity
Dipeptidyl peptidase 8 and dipeptidyl peptidase 9 (show DPP9 Antibodies) influence cell-extracellular matrix interactions, and thus may regulate tissue remodeling.

Blocking the expression or activities of DPP8 and DPP9 (show DPP9 Antibodies) attenuates PPARgamma2 (show PPARG Antibodies) induction during preadipocyte differentiation.
DP8 and DP9 (show DPP9 Antibodies) tissue and cellular expression
This gene encodes a member of the peptidase S9B family, a small family of dipeptidyl peptidases that are able to cleave peptide substrates at a prolyl bond. The encoded protein shares similarity with dipeptidyl peptidase IV in that it is ubiquitously expressed, and hydrolyzes the same substrates. These similarities suggest that, like dipeptidyl peptidase IV, this protein may play a role in T-cell activation and immune function. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
