  1. CD105 acts as one of the receptors of TGF-beta1 (show TGFB1 Proteins) on vascular endothelial cells and induces the angiogenic pathway in oral squamous cell carcinoma.

  2. Endoglin-induced peritoneal mesothelial cell senescence may contribute to peritoneal dissemination of gastric cancer cells

  3. These results suggest a critical role for endoglin in integrin-mediated adhesion of mural cells.

  4. The expression of DLL4 (show DLL4 Proteins) was positively correlated with CD105-labeled MVD (show MVD Proteins).

  5. CD105 and CD29 (show ITGB1 Proteins) immunoexpression in decidua basalis, fetal membrane and placental villi showed significant negative correlations with the maternal age

  6. CD105+/CD90 (show THY1 Proteins)+ subpopulation from breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells possesses "mesenchymal stem cell-like" characteristics, and its high migratory ability might be associated with epithelial-mesenchymal transformation.

  7. High glucose induce endoglin expression in human umbilical vein endothelial Cells.

  8. Changes in circulating concentrations of sFlt-1, PlGF (show PGF Proteins), sEng, and the sFlt-1/PlGF (show PGF Proteins) ratio precede the onset of preeclampsia in systemic lupus erythematosus pregnancies.

  9. YC-1 (show RBMS1 Proteins) decreases placental production of sFlt-1 and sENG and decreases endothelial dysfunction. It is a novel therapeutic candidate for preeclampsia.

  10. Suggest that endoglin expression correlates with prognosis in gastrointestinal stromal tumors.

  1. The changes in CD90 (show THY1 Proteins) and CD105 expression in the testis and ovary of mice are reported.

  2. the altered immune activity of endoglin deficient macrophages could help to explain the higher rate of infectious diseases seen in HHT1 patients.

  3. These results demonstrate a requirement for endoglin in descendants of Pax3 (show PAX3 Proteins)-expressing vascular cell precursors.

  4. The similarities in Eng-/- and Mlc2a-/- embryos suggest that Eng-/- mice may suffer from a primary heart developmental defect and secondary defects in vessel patterning.

  5. results of our study provide evidence of endoglin as a valid target for cancer therapy and support further development of plasmid shRNA delivery, which have prolonged antitumor effect, especially in combined schedules

  6. ENG deficiency leads to EC hyperpermeability through constitutive activation of RhoA (show RHOA Proteins) and destabilization of endothelial barrier function.

  7. endoglin is not localized with cell adhesion molecules involved in atherosclerosis, suggesting it might not participate in leukocyte accumulation in aorta of apoE (show APOE Proteins)-deficient mice during atherogenesis

  8. Deficiency of MKP5 (show DUSP10 Proteins) resulted in increased inflammatory activation in macrophages. These findings thus demonstrate that MKP5 (show DUSP10 Proteins) critically controls inflammation in white adipose tissue and the development of metabolic disorders

  9. combinatorial expression of CD105 and CD34 receptors controls bone morphogenetic protein responsiveness in adipose-derived stem cells

  10. activin A (INHBA (show INHBA Proteins) gene), a TGF-beta (show TGFB1 Proteins) superfamily member involved in macrophage polarization, was distinctly affected in each endoglin transfectant, and may contribute to the regulated expression of integrins

Endoglin (ENG) Protein Profile

Protein Summary

This gene encodes a homodimeric transmembrane protein which is a major glycoprotein of the vascular endothelium. This protein is a component of the transforming growth factor beta receptor complex and it binds TGFB1 and TGFB3 with high affinity. Mutations in this gene cause hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia, also known as Osler-Rendu-Weber syndrome 1, an autosomal dominant multisystemic vascular dysplasia. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
