Human FEV (ETS Oncogene Family) (FEV) interaction partners

  1. novel evidence for the role of Pet-1 in human amygdala threat processing extends literature demonstrating the influence of genetic variation in the serotonin system on emotional regulation

  2. Fev-ERK signaling is essential for hemogenic endothelium-based hematopoietic stem cell development.

  3. our data argue against an exclusive role of FEV in the adult human brain serotonergic system and genetic analyses did not suggest that FEV variation adds to the genetic liability towards affective disorders

  4. FEV identifies serotonin-producing cells in normal and neoplastic small intestine.

  5. Serotonin-related FEV gene variant in the sudden infant death syndrome is a common polymorphism in the African-American population.

  6. FEV acts as a transcriptional repressor through its DNA-binding ETS (show ETS1 ELISA Kits) domain and alanine-rich domain.

  7. We showed that fev is exclusively expressed in the midline part of the human brainstem containing raphe nuclei, which also specifically expressed 5-HT (show DDC ELISA Kits) transporter (sert (show SLC6A4 ELISA Kits)) and tryptophan hydroxylase (tph (show TPH1 ELISA Kits)), two markers of the 5-HT (show DDC ELISA Kits) neurotransmitter system.

  8. Analysis of transgene expression in Pet-1 null mice indicates that Pet-1 is required to maintain the activity of the Pet-1 enhancer region in a subset of serotonin (5-HT (show DDC ELISA Kits)) neurons.

  9. Variation in FEV gene observed exclusively in a subset of African American sudden infant death syndrome cases may help explain the observed abnormalities of this system in some SIDS (show IDS ELISA Kits) cases and the ethnic disparity.

  1. These results suggest a causal relationship between 5-HT1A (show HTR1A ELISA Kits) and Pet1, and reveal a potential mechanism by which 5-HT1A (show HTR1A ELISA Kits)-Pet1 autoregulatory loop is maintained by serotonin.

  2. novel evidence for the role of Pet-1 in fear processing and dendritic organization of amygdala neurons

  3. Pet1-dependent and Pet1-resistant 5-serotonin (5-HT (show DDC ELISA Kits)) neurons target different brain centers that might delineate the anatomical basis for a dual serotonergic control on stress responses.

  4. The data of this study indicated that, in addition to transcriptional regulation by Pet-1 in raphe neurons, 5-HT1A receptor (show CC2D1A ELISA Kits) expression is regulated indirectly by alterations in 5-HT (show DDC ELISA Kits) neurotransmission in a region-specific manner

  5. This study indicated that Pet-1 is required across the lifespan of the mouse and that behavioral pathogenesis can result from both developmental and adult-onset alterations in serotonergic transcription.

  6. Pet-1(-/-) neonates are probably not hypoxic from respiratory dysfunction until P14 (show PCOLCE ELISA Kits)-15; neither apnea-related hypoxia nor greater hypopnea contribute to the enhanced bradycardias of Pet-1 and there may be enhanced temperature reflex in hyperthermia

  7. expressed in central serotonergic (5-hydroxytryptaminergic) neurons located in the mes (show PTCH1 ELISA Kits)-/metencephalic raphe nuclei from E11 (show PDPN ELISA Kits) on until adulthood

  8. Pet-1 is a critical determinant of 5-HT (show DDC ELISA Kits) neuron identity and Pet-1-dependent program is involved in serotonergic modulation of behavior

  9. Ectopic expression of Lmx1b (show LMX1B ELISA Kits) plus Pet-1 is able to induce formation of 5-HT (show DDC ELISA Kits) cells in the most ventral spinal cord, where Nkx2.2 (show Nkx2-2 ELISA Kits) is normally expressed. Combined expression of Lmx1b (show LMX1B ELISA Kits), Pet-1, and Nkx2.2 (show Nkx2-2 ELISA Kits), drives 5-HT (show DDC ELISA Kits) differentiation in the dorsal spinal cord

  10. Our findings identify a direct transcriptional interaction between Gata-2 (show GATA2 ELISA Kits) and FEV and a unique marker for new insight into FEV/Pet-1 function in 5-HT (show DDC ELISA Kits) neuron development.

  1. Fev-ERK signaling is essential for hemogenic endothelium-based hematopoietic stem cell development.

  2. Spatiotemporal expression profile of the Ets-domain transcription factor-encoding gene pet1 in developing and adult zebrafish.

FEV (ETS Oncogene Family) (FEV) Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

This gene belongs to the ETS transcription factor family. ETS family members have a highly conserved 85-amino acid ETS domain that binds purine-rich DNA sequences. The alanine-rich C-terminus of this gene indicates that it may act as a transcription repressor. This gene is exclusively expressed in neurons of the central serotonin (5-HT) system, a system implicated in the pathogeny of such psychiatric diseases as depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. In some types of Ewing tumors, this gene is fused to the Ewing sarcoma (EWS) gene following chromosome translocations.
