Two novel OCRL1 (show OCRL Proteins)-binding proteins, termed inositol polyphosphate phosphatase interacting protein of 27 kDa (IPIP27)A and B (also known as Ses1 (show SCRN1 Proteins) and 2), that also bind the related 5-phosphatase Inpp5b (show INPP5B Proteins), were identified.
Two closely related endocytic proteins, Ses1 (show SCRN1 Proteins) and Ses2 (show SESN2 Proteins), which interact with OCRL (show OCRL Proteins), were identified. The interaction is mediated by a short amino acid motif similar to that used by the rab-5 (show RAB5A Proteins) effector APPL1 (show APPL1 Proteins).
