HOST_Escherichia coli (E. coli) Human Un-conjugated (C) Immunocytochemistry and lipid (Oil Red O) staining. Irisin treatment stimulates UCP-1 expression in 3T3- L1 derived adipocyte. Mouse 3T3 cells were differentiated to 3T3-L1 adipocytes using a Differentiation Kit, and then incubated with active Irisin (2 µg/ml) for 5 days. The staining shows that active recombinant Irisin upregulated both UCP-1 expression and white to brown fat conversion in mature 3T3-L1 adipocytes (active Irisin, 1-2 µg/ml; red arrow: UCP-1; orange chevron: neutral lipids within cells. Cells were counterstained with Hematoxylin using a Ready-to Use IHC/ICC kit and Lipid (Oil Red O) Staining Kit Figure: (A) SDS-PAGE (4-20%) of Recombinant Human Irisin: Recombinant Irisin Protein Ioaded under reducing conditions and stained with Coomassie Blue. The protein has a predicted MW of around 13.00 kDa. (B) Irisin treatment stimulates UCP-1 expression in 3T3- L1 derived adipocyte. Mouse 3T3 cells were differentiated to 3T3-L1 adipocytes using a Differentiation Kit, and then incubated with active Irisin (2 µg/ml) for 5 days. Protein expressions of untreated and Irisin-treated cells were determined by Western blotting (UCP-1 antibody, 1:250); Tubulin antibody 1:500 50 μg Log in to see 2 to 3 Days

Cow (Bovine) Fibronectin Type III Domain Containing 5 (FNDC5) interaction partners

  1. Neither FNDC5 nor its putatively secreted peptide irisin were found in circulation of bulls.

Human Fibronectin Type III Domain Containing 5 (FNDC5) interaction partners

  1. Increased irisin immunoreactivity in tissues obtained from breast, ovary, cervix carcinomas, and endometrial hyperplasia suggest critical role of this peptide during carcinogenesis.

  2. Behcet's disease (BD) is characterized by chronic inflammation, and low serum irisin levels in BD may be related to atherosclerosis.

  3. Circulating irisin levels are associated with a beneficial metabolic profile but not with other adipokines and not with rs726344 in our cohort. Our data suggest a potential favorable role of irisin in the regulation of metabolism.

  4. Recent findings on the PGC1alpha/FNDC5/BDNF pathway and its role in neuroprotection, and the controversial promise of the FNDC5 peptide irisin as a mediator of the positive benefits of exercise are discussed. Review.

  5. Association between FNDC5 genetic variants and proliferative diabetic retinopathy

  6. Single nucleotide polymorphisms in FNDC5 gene correlates with obesity and glucose-lipid metabolism in Saudi population.

  7. Our results suggest that serum levels of myostatin (show MSTN Proteins) and irisin are related in patients with type 2 diabetes

  8. Serum irisin may be a protective factor against impaired beta cell function in obesity with Acanthosis nigricans

  9. Serum irisin levels and urotensin II (show UTS2 Proteins) levels were both significantly lower in hemodialysis patients compared with healthy subjects.

  10. Partial vascular occlusion stimulates the release of irisin during resistance exercise.

Mouse (Murine) Fibronectin Type III Domain Containing 5 (FNDC5) interaction partners

  1. PGC1alpha regulates FNDC5 and its processed and secreted peptide Irisin, which has been proposed to play a critical role in energy expenditure and to promote neural differentiation of mouse embryonic stem cells. Review.

  2. it is concluding that an enhanced expression of Fndc5 in neural progenitor cells is stimulated by Zfp521 overexpression in these cells

  3. Irisin directly targets osteoblast, promoting osteoblast proliferation and differentiation via activating P38/ERK MAP kinase (show MAPK1 Proteins) signaling cascades in vitro.

  4. irisin does not function through inflammatory NFKB activation like other myokines (such as TNFalpha (show TNF Proteins)).

  5. Muscle FNDC5 mRNA expression and irisin release are not IL-15 (show IL15 Proteins)-dependent in mice.

  6. irisin alleviates endothelial dysfunction in type 2 diabetes partially via reducing oxidative stresses through inhibiting signaling pathways suggesting that irisin may be a promising molecule for the treatment of vascular complications of diabetes.

  7. HFD induced obese mice showed decreased irisin secretion from adipose tissues, which might contribute to muscle insulin (show INS Proteins) resistance.

  8. Our study also suggests the existence of irisin-specific receptor on the membrane of H9C2 cells. In conclusion, irisin in a certain concentration rage (show AGER Proteins) increased myocardial cell metabolism, inhibited cell proliferation and promoted cell differentiation

  9. In summary, these results suggested that the endothelium-dependent relaxation of irisin is mediated by the nitric oxide (NO)-guanosine 3', 5'-cyclic phosphate (cGMP)-dependent pathway.

  10. Fndc5 facilitates neural differentiation. This effect might be related to increased expression of BDNF (show BDNF Proteins) following overexpression of Fndc5.
