Human Finkel-Biskis-Reilly Murine Sarcoma Virus (FBR-MuSV) Ubiquitously Expressed (FAU) interaction partners

  1. In 293T/17 cells, Bcl-G knockdown also attenuates UV-induced apoptosis, so that Bcl-G may constitute a common factor in the pathways by which both FAU and UV-irradiation induce apoptosis

  2. siRNA-mediated downregulation of either Fau or Bcl-G expression inhibited apoptosis, and the inhibition produced by combining the two siRNAs was consistent with control of Bcl-G by Fau.

  3. data support a role for FAU in the regulation of platinum-resistance in ovarian cancer

  4. Overexpression of fau in the sense orientation induces cell death, which is inhibited both by Bcl-2 (show BCL2 Antibodies) and by inhibition of caspases, in line with its proposed role in apoptosis

  1. Collectively, MNSFbeta/FDH (show ADH5 Antibodies) complex formation may positively regulate apoptosis in thymocytes.

  2. these results demonstrated that a deficiency in MNSFb is associated with pregnancy loss, probably through reduced P53 (show TP53 Antibodies) and/or increased TNFA (show TNF Antibodies) production at the fetal-maternal interface.

  3. CD3 (show CD3E Antibodies)/CD28 (show CD28 Antibodies)-inducible MNSFbeta-Bcl-G complex may be involved in the regulation of T cell function and survival.

  4. MNSFbeta may bind to novel target proteins and negatively regulate TLR-2 (show TLR2 Antibodies)-mediated signal transduction in macrophages.

  5. these results demonstrate that MNSFbeta/endophilin II (show SH3GL1 Antibodies) inhibits the signal pathway upstream of IKK (show CHUK Antibodies) activation, but not downstream of TLR2 (show TLR2 Antibodies) signaling.

  6. The result suggested that the level of MNSFbeta in interimplantation sites was significantly higher as compared with implantation sites in the mouse uterine on Day 4.5 of pregnancy

  7. MNSFbeta cDNA encodes a fusion protein consisting of a ubiquitin-like segment (Ubi-L) and ribosomal protein S30: Ubi-L noncovalently and specifically binds to histone 2A

  8. MNSFbeta might be implicated in the macrophage response to lipopolysaccharide

  9. These results demonstrate that MNSFbeta plays critical roles during the early pregnancy via multiple pathways

  10. post-translational modification of endophilin II (show SH3GL1 Antibodies) by MNSFbeta might be implicated in phagocytosis by macrophages.

FAU Antigen Profile

Protein Summary

This gene is the cellular homolog of the fox sequence in the Finkel-Biskis-Reilly murine sarcoma virus (FBR-MuSV). It encodes a fusion protein consisting of the ubiquitin-like protein fubi at the N terminus and ribosomal protein S30 at the C terminus. It has been proposed that the fusion protein is post-translationally processed to generate free fubi and free ribosomal protein S30. Fubi is a member of the ubiquitin family, and ribosomal protein S30 belongs to the S30E family of ribosomal proteins. Whereas the function of fubi is currently unknown, ribosomal protein S30 is a component of the 40S subunit of the cytoplasmic ribosome. Pseudogenes derived from this gene are present in the genome. Similar to ribosomal protein S30, ribosomal proteins S27a and L40 are synthesized as fusion proteins with ubiquitin.
