GMIP encodes a member of the ARHGAP family of Rho\\/Rac\\/Cdc42-like GTPase activating proteins. Additionally we are shipping GEM Interacting Protein Antibodies (18) and and many more products for this protein.
These findings demonstrate a new role of Gem/Gmip/RhoA signaling in cortical actin regulation during early mitotic stages
during exocytosis, actin depolymerization commences near the secretory organelle, not the plasma membrane, and secretory granules use a JFC1- and GMIP-dependent molecular mechanism to traverse cortical actin.
signalling pathways controlled by two proteins of the Ras superfamily, RhoA (show RHOA ELISA Kits) and Gem (show GEM ELISA Kits), are linked via the action of the RhoGAP protein (show ARHGAP26 ELISA Kits) Gmip
Variations in the GMIP gene can confer susceptibility to major depressive disorder.
Gmip serves as a brake for the RhoA (show RHOA ELISA Kits)-mediated movement of neuronal somata, highlighting the significance of speed control in the well-organized neuronal migration and the maintenance of neuronal circuits in the postnatal brain.
This gene encodes a member of the ARHGAP family of Rho/Rac/Cdc42-like GTPase activating proteins. The encoded protein interacts with the Ras-related protein Gem through its N-terminal domain. Separately, it interacts with RhoA through a RhoGAP domain, and stimulates RhoA-dependent GTPase activity. Alternatively spliced variants that encode different protein isoforms have been described but their full-length nature has not been determined.
