  3. Data indicate that ABC transporter A family member 12 knockout (Abca12 (show ABCA12 ELISA Kits)(-/-)) epidermis had 5-fold more beta-glucocerebrosidase (GCase) protein, and a 5-fold increase in GCase activity.

  6. GBA1 and GBA2 (show GBA2 ELISA Kits) activities had characteristic differences between the studied fibroblast, liver and brain samples.

  7. results not only point to a fundamental role for GBA in immune regulation but also suggest that GBA mutations in GD may cause widespread immune dysregulation through the accumulation of substrates

  8. This study suggested that several leads connecting GBA1 mutations with alpha-synuclein (show SNCA ELISA Kits) misprocessing have emerged as potential targets for the treatment of GBA1-related synucleinopathies.

GBA Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

This gene encodes a lysosomal membrane protein that cleaves the beta-glucosidic linkage of glycosylceramide, an intermediate in glycolipid metabolism. Mutations in this gene cause Gaucher disease, a lysosomal storage disease characterized by an accumulation of glucocerebrosides. A related pseudogene is approximately 12 kb downstream of this gene on chromosome 1. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
