Mouse embryonic fibroblasts null for the Hmga1 gene show downregulation of Bub1 (show BUB1 ELISA Kits), Bub1b (show BUB1B ELISA Kits), Mad2l1 (show MAD2L1 ELISA Kits) and Ttk SAC (show ADCY10 ELISA Kits) genes, and present several features of chromosomal instability, such as nuclear abnormalities, binucleation, micronuclei and karyotypic alterations.

  2. Taken together, our data demonstrate that miR (show MLXIP ELISA Kits)-625 suppresses cell proliferation and migration by targeting HMGA1 and suggest miR (show MLXIP ELISA Kits)-625 as a promising prognostic biomarker and a potential therapeutic target for breast cancer.

  3. Inactivation of the Cdkn2a locus cooperates with HMGA1 to drive T-cell leukemogenesis.

  4. Increased HMGA1 expression is associated with pituitary and thyroid tumors.

  5. activated HMGA1 regulates cell proliferation through the Notch1 (show NOTCH1 ELISA Kits) signaling pathway, which represents an important molecular pathway leading to leukemogenesis.

  6. Data propose that, by affecting the expression of both IGFBP protein species, HMGA1 can serve as a modulator of IGF-I (show IGF1 ELISA Kits) activity, thus representing an important novel mediator of glucose disposal.

  7. HMGA1 contributes to the neurogenic potential of neural precursor cells in the early stages of neocortical development.

  8. Elevated expression of HMGA1 is associated with the transition of prostate cancer (PCa (show ENPP1 ELISA Kits)) cells from androgen-sensitive to androgen-independent growth and plays a role in the cell growth of androgen-independent PCa (show ENPP1 ELISA Kits) cells.

  9. The data in the present study reveal a role of Hmga1 in transcriptional silencing in T cell lineages and leukemic cells.

  10. High-mobility group (show SSRP1 ELISA Kits) A1 protein is a new coregulator of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma (show PPARG ELISA Kits)-mediated transrepression in the vasculature.

  1. HMGA1 may function as an oncogene (show RAB1A ELISA Kits) and modulate endometrial cancer cell migration and invasion by activating Wnt (show WNT2 ELISA Kits)/beta-catenin (show CTNNB1 ELISA Kits) pathway.

  2. Increased HMGA1 in pulmonary arterial endothelial cells resulting from dysfunctional BMPr2 (show BMPR2 ELISA Kits) signaling can transition endothelium to smooth muscle-like cells associated with pulmonary arterial hypertension.

  3. in splenic hemangioma with t(3;6)(q26;p21 (show CDKN1A ELISA Kits)), the entire coding region of HMGA1 comes under the control of the TBL1XR1 (show TBL1XR1 ELISA Kits) promoter, bringing about dysregulation of HMGA1

  4. This is the first report for the association between HMGA1 and S100A13 (show S100A13 ELISA Kits) expression in the modulation of thyroid cancer growth and invasion.

  5. Data indicate that the high mobility group (show SSRP1 ELISA Kits) A1 (HMGA1) proteomic signature has prognostic value in breast cancer.

  6. In breast cancer patients, high levels of HMGA1 and CCNE2 (show CCNE2 ELISA Kits) expression are associated with the YAP (show YAP1 ELISA Kits)/TAZ (show TAZ ELISA Kits) signature.

High Mobility Group AT-Hook 1 (HMGA1) Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

This gene encodes a non-histone protein involved in many cellular processes, including regulation of inducible gene transcription, integration of retroviruses into chromosomes, and the metastatic progression of cancer cells. The encoded protein preferentially binds to the minor groove of A+T-rich regions in double-stranded DNA. It has little secondary structure in solution but assumes distinct conformations when bound to substrates such as DNA or other proteins. The encoded protein is frequently acetylated and is found in the nucleus. At least seven transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene.
