LUZP4 encodes a protein which contains two sets of heptad repeats in the N-terminus\\; the C-terminal most repeats form a leucine zipper domain. Additionally we are shipping Leucine Zipper Protein 4 Antibodies (34) and many more products for this protein.

Luzp4 is an RNA-binding protein (show PTBP1 Proteins) which associates with the TREX mRNA export complex subunit Uap56 (show DDX39B Proteins). Luzp4 also binds the principal mRNA export receptor Nxf1 (show NXF1 Proteins), enhances its RNA binding activity and complements Alyref (show THOC4 Proteins) knockdown in vivo. Luzp4 displays all features of an mRNA export adaptor. Whilst Luzp4 is up-regulated in a range of tumours, it appears preferentially expressed in melanoma (show PRAME Proteins) cells where it is required for growth.
A novel tumour associated leucine zipper protein (show ROGDI Proteins) targeting to sites of gene transcription and splicing.
This gene encodes a protein which contains two sets of heptad repeats in the N-terminus\\; the C-terminal most repeats form a leucine zipper domain. The presence of a leucine zipper domain suggests the protein may have DNA-binding activity and the protein has been shown to localize with a spliceosome protein (PMID: 12032826).
