Human Monoclonal LZTFL1 Primary Antibody for IF, IHC (p) - ABIN565756
Seo, Zhang, Bugge, Breslow, Searby, Nachury, Sheffield: A novel protein LZTFL1 regulates ciliary trafficking of the BBSome and Smoothened. in PLoS genetics 2011
these data indicate that LZTFL1 modulates T cell activation and IL-5 (show IL5 Antibodies) levels.
LZTFL1 binds beta-catenin (show CTNNB1 Antibodies) in the cytoplasm of the cell and inhibited its nuclear translocation
This special subtype of polydactyly in BBS (show BBS2 Antibodies) patients is easily identified on clinical examination and prompts for priority sequencing of LZTFL1 (BBS17).
The absence of LZTFL1 leads to a BBS (show BBS2 Antibodies) phenotype with enhanced developmental abnormalities associated with cellular Shh (show SHH Antibodies) dysfunction. LZTFL1 is a novel BBS (show BBS2 Antibodies) gene (BBS17).
Our findings suggest that LZTFL1 is an important regulator of BBSome ciliary trafficking and hedgehog (show SHH Antibodies) signaling
LZTFL1 may inhibit tumorigenesis by stabilizing E-cadherin (show CDH1 Antibodies)-mediated adherens junction formation and promoting epithelial cell differentiation.
the expression levels of leucine zipper transcription factor-like protein 1 (Lztfl1) mRNA were significantly higher in SAMP8 mice subjected to exercise training.
This gene encodes a ubiquitously expressed protein that localizes to the cytoplasm. This protein interacts with Bardet-Biedl Syndrome (BBS) proteins and, through its interaction with BBS protein complexes, regulates protein trafficking to the ciliary membrane. Nonsense mutations in this gene cause a form of Bardet-Biedl Syndrome\; a ciliopathy characterized in part by polydactyly, obesity, cognitive impairment, hypogonadism, and kidney failure. This gene may also function as a tumor suppressor\; possibly by interacting with E-cadherin and the actin cytoskeleton and thereby regulating the transition of epithelial cells to mesenchymal cells. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants.
