Mouse (Murine) Lymphotoxin-alpha (LTA) interaction partners

  1. Expression of LT alpha and beta on acinar cells in mice led to chronic pancreatitis and sufficed to reproduce key features of human autoimmune pancreatitis including the development of autoimmunity and AIP (show AIP Antibodies) associated secondary extra pancreatic pathologies.

  2. These data demonstrate that lymphotoxin (show LTB Antibodies)-expressing cells, such as Th1 (show HAND1 Antibodies) cells, mediate stromal keratitis.

  3. TNFalpha (show TNF Antibodies) and LTalpha mediate post-myocardial infarction cardiac dysfunction via TNFR1 (show TNFRSF1A Antibodies) stimulation, whereas TNFR2 (show TNFRSF1B Antibodies) activation is cardioprotective against ischemic injury.

  4. findings show that soluble lymphotoxin alpha (sLTalpha3) produced by RORgammat(+) innate lymphoid cells controls T cell-dependent IgA induction in the lamina propria via regulation of T cell homing to the gut (show GUSB Antibodies)

  5. Data suggest that among many cytokines increased after myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (MI/R), lymphotoxin-alpha (Lta) is the only cytokine remaining elevated 24-72 h after reperfusion; LTa appears to suppress adiponectin expression following MI/R.

  6. study reports that mice deficient in lymphotoxin (show LTB Antibodies), a key molecule in gut (show GUSB Antibodies) immunity, were resistant to diet-induced obesity

  7. Data from lymphotoxin-alpha knockout mice suggest that lymphotoxin-alpha contributes to diet-induced weight gain and adiposity (leading to obesity) and is required to modulate accumulation of immune cells in adipose tissue (as in obesity).

  8. Grafts deficient in lymphotoxin-alpha have an attenuated capacity to induce graft-versus-host disease.

  9. Our findings suggest a contribution of lymphotoxin alpha in the control of chronic M. tuberculosis infection.

  10. The organogenesis of nasal-associated lymphoid tissue (NALT) occurs independently of lymphotoxin alpha; however, the organization and recruitment of lymphocytes within NALT are dependent on LT alpha.

Human Lymphotoxin-alpha (LTA) interaction partners

  1. TNFB+252G/A was associated with presence of immune thrombocytopenia.

  2. LTA polymorphism is associated with genetic susceptibility of systemic lupus in Asians, but not in rheumatoid arthritis.

  3. Studied the association between immuno-modulatory gene polymorphisms (including LTA) and risk for nasal NK/T-cell lymphoma in a Chinese population. Found The LTA +252 GA + AA genotypes were associated with increased risk for NK/T-cell lymphoma.

  4. TNF-beta NcoI polymorphism, by itself, was not associated with increased stroke susceptibility. But the homozygous genotype for the allele TNFB2 was associated with higher expression of classical inflammatory and metabolic markers of stroke.

  5. These results support an association between ANKK1 and LTA genetic markers and vulnerability to schizophrenia and show the potential influence of just one copy of the mutant C or G allele in the Egyptian population.

  6. Studied six SNP loci: (rs2279115 of BCL2 gene, rs804270 of NEIL2 gene, rs909253 of LTA gene, rs2294008 of PSCA gene, rs3765524 and rs10509670 of PLCE1 gene) to evaluate gastric cancer risk using magnetic nanoparticles and universal tagged arrays.

  7. TNF-alpha (show TNF Antibodies) (-308G/A), TNF-beta (+252A/G) and IL-10 (show IL10 Antibodies) (-1082G/A, -819C/T and -592C/A) polymorphisms are associated with the susceptibility of oral lichen planus.

  8. Elite controllers of HIV infection present marginal zone-like B-cell populations which IL-10 (show IL10 Antibodies) and LT-alpha expression profiles may favour homeostasis of immune responses and lymphoid microenvironments.

  9. Biotin-pulldown assay showed that HuR (show ELAVL1 Antibodies) specifically interacts with the 3'-untranslated region (3'-UTR (show UTS2R Antibodies)) of the LTalpha mRNA

  10. The AA genotype of LT-alpha + 252 was significantly associated with shortened overall or leukemia-free survival in patients with myelodysplastic syndrome with excess blasts.

LTA Antigen Profile

Protein Summary

The encoded protein, a member of the tumor necrosis factor family, is a cytokine produced by lymphocytes. The protein is highly inducible, secreted, and forms heterotrimers with lymphotoxin-beta which anchor lymphotoxin-alpha to the cell surface. This protein also mediates a large variety of inflammatory, immunostimulatory, and antiviral responses, is involved in the formation of secondary lymphoid organs during development and plays a role in apoptosis. Genetic variations in this gene are associated with susceptibility to leprosy type 4, myocardial infarction, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and psoriatic arthritis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed for this gene.
