More ELISA Kits for MAX-Like Protein X Interaction Partners

Mouse (Murine) MAX-Like Protein X (MLX) interaction partners

  1. MLX promotes myogenesis not via an adjustment of glucose metabolism but rather by inducing the expression of several myokines, including insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF2 (show IGF2 ELISA Kits))

  2. Glucose is required at two additional steps to stimulate the transcription activation function of MondoA (show MLXIP ELISA Kits)-Mlx complexes.

  3. Overexpression of dominant negative Mlx improves glucose intolerance by inhibiting expression not only of lipogenic enzymes but also other important genes such as Glucose-6-phosphatase (show G6PC ELISA Kits) and Elovl6 (show ELOVL6 ELISA Kits).

Human MAX-Like Protein X (MLX) interaction partners

  1. MYC (show MYC ELISA Kits) is part of a network of bHLHLZ proteins centered on the MYC (show MYC ELISA Kits) heterodimeric partner MAX and its counterpart, the MAX-like protein MLX.

  2. Knockdown of MondoA (show MLXIP ELISA Kits), or its dimerization partner Mlx, blocks Myc (show MYC ELISA Kits)-induced reprogramming of multiple metabolic pathways, resulting in apoptosis

  3. Data show that for both MondoA (show MLXIP ELISA Kits) and Mlx, the C-terminal domain CRM-1 (show XPO1 ELISA Kits) has cytoplasmic localization activity that is required by the protein monomers to accumulate in the cytoplasm.

  4. Mlx is an obligatory partner of ChREBP (show MLXIPL ELISA Kits) in regulating lipogenic enzyme genes in liver.

  5. Endogenous MondoA (show MLXIP ELISA Kits) and Mlx associate with mitochondria in primary skeletal muscle.

MAX-Like Protein X (MLX) Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

The product of this gene belongs to the family of basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper (bHLH-Zip) transcription factors. These factors form heterodimers with Mad proteins and play a role in proliferation, determination and differentiation. This gene product may act to diversify Mad family function by its restricted association with a subset of the Mad family of transcriptional repressors, namely, Mad1 and Mad4. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
