MICB encodes a heavily glycosylated protein which is a ligand for the NKG2D type II receptor. Additionally we are shipping MICB Kits (20) and MICB Proteins (10) and many more products for this protein.

This demonstrates for the first time that MICA (show MICA Antibodies)/B is more broadly expressed in normal tissue and that expression is mainly intracellular with only a small fraction appearing on the cell surface of some epithelia and tumour cells.
this study shows that vigilin (HDLBP (show HDLBP Antibodies)) binds and negatively regulates MICB expression through its 5'UTR (show UTS2R Antibodies), and that vigilin (show HDLBP Antibodies) downregulation in target cells leads to NK cell activation against said target cells
we have found that the allele G of rs3828903 was significantly associated with risk susceptibility to SLE in the current population. These data together with the functional annotations of rs3828903 convert MICB into a main candidate for being an additional MHC gene associated with SLE susceptibility.
this study presents the impact of a single nucleotide transition at SNPs associated with DSS (show NR0B1 Antibodies) on differential protein binding patterns with PLCE1 and MICB genes and on protein structure modification and their possible role in the pathogenesis of dengue shock syndrome
there is no obvious correlation between the MMP9 (show MMP9 Antibodies) -1562 C/T SNP and the concentrations of circulating MICA (show MICA Antibodies)/B in the breast cancer patients.
Findings shown here are important from an anthropologic perspective and will inform future studies of the potential role of MICA (show MICA Antibodies) and MICB genes in allogeneic organ transplantation and HLA-linked disease association in populations of related ancestry.
IMP3 (show IGF2BP3 Antibodies) directly interacts with ULBP2 (show ULBP2 Antibodies) mRNA, leading to ULBP2 (show ULBP2 Antibodies) transcript destabilization and reduced ULBP2 (show ULBP2 Antibodies) surface expression and indirectly downregulates MICB with a mechanism functionally distinct from that of ULBP2 (show ULBP2 Antibodies).
Reversal of epigenetic silencing of MICA (show MICA Antibodies) and MICB improves immune recognition and killing of Merkel cell carcinoma cells.
We have now found a total of 15 individual MICB promoter sequences, varying by combination of 18 polymorphic positions within the MICB minimal promoter sequence.
Our results suggest that locally sustained expression of MICA (show MICA Antibodies) and MICB in the tumor may contribute to the malignant progression of Gastric cancer(GC) and that expression of these ligands predicts an unfavorable prognosis in GC patients presenting large tumors.
This gene encodes a heavily glycosylated protein which is a ligand for the NKG2D type II receptor. Binding of the ligand activates the cytolytic response of natural killer (NK) cells, CD8 alphabeta T cells, and gammadelta T cells which express the receptor. This protein is stress-induced and is similar to MHC class I molecules\; however, it does not associate with beta-2-microglobulin or bind peptides.
