Human Macrophage Stimulating 1 (Hepatocyte Growth Factor-Like) (MST1) interaction partners

  1. Study found that MST1 is strongly activated in a diabetic beta cell and induces not only its death but also directly impairs insulin (show INS Proteins) secretion through promoting proteasomal degradation of key beta cell transcription factor, pancreatic and duodenal homeobox 1 (PDX1 (show PDX1 Proteins)), which is critical for insulin (show INS Proteins) production.

  2. deacetylation of MST1 mediated by HBXIP-enhanced HDAC6 results in MST1 degradation in a chaperone-mediated autophagy (CMA) manner in promotion of breast cancer growth.

  3. Mst1 increases the (show FOXP3 Proteins)acetylation of Foxp3 by inhibiting Sirt1 activity, which requires the Mst1 kinase activity.

  4. Identify MST1/MSP as a mitogen for tracheal basal cells.

  5. MSP (show MSMB Proteins) appears to promote the migration of fibroblasts, enhances collagen synthesis and remodeling, and effectively improves wound healing.

  6. Elevated serum levels of MST1 were found in subjects with excessive alcohol use.

  7. results suggest that the decreased expression of MST1 in regulatory T cells due to hypermethylation of the promoter contributes to the pathogenesis of IgG4-related AIP (show AIP Proteins)

  8. Results suggest that Mst1 regulates proliferation of glioma cells via AKT (show AKT1 Proteins)/mTOR (show FRAP1 Proteins) signaling pathway

  9. Hippo and Yap (show YAP1 Proteins) regulate cardiomyocyte death and regeneration.

  10. MST1 protein gene expression is a prognostic indicator for patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer.

  1. Mst1 knockout alleviated while Mst1 overexpression aggravated cardiac dysfunction in diabetes.

  2. these findings highlight a role for MST1 in vesicle trafficking and extravasation in neutrophils, providing an additional mechanistic explanation for the severe immune defect

  3. Results identify L-plastin (show LCP1 Proteins) as a key effector of Mst1 and establish a novel mechanism linking a signaling intermediate to an actin-binding protein (show PFN1 Proteins) critical to T cell migration.

  4. MIST1 is a scaling factor necessary and sufficient by itself to induce and maintain secretory cell architecture

  5. Mst1 deficiency diminishes atherosclerosis and stabilizes atherosclerotic plaques in ApoE (show APOE Proteins)(-/-) mice. Mst1 may participate in atherosclerosis progression through inhibition of macrophage autophagy and promotion of macrophage apoptosis.

  6. These results suggest that melatonin alleviates postinfarction cardiac remodeling and dysfunction by upregulating autophagy, decreasing apoptosis, and modulating mitochondrial integrity and biogenesis. The attributed mechanism involved, at least in part, Mst1/Sirt1 (show SIRT1 Proteins) signaling

  7. TRAF2 (show TRAF2 Proteins) functions as a key activator of MST1 in oxidative stress-induced (show SQSTM1 Proteins) intracellular signaling processes.

  8. Mst1 regulates hepatic lipid metabolism by inhibiting Sirt1 (show SIRT1 Proteins) ubiquitination in mice.

  9. Mst1 enhances Foxp3 (show FOXP3 Proteins) expression and Treg function at the post-translational level.

  10. our study demonstrates the existence of a direct crosstalk between mTORC2 (show CRTC2 Proteins) and MST1 that is critical for cardiac cell survival and growth.

MST1 Protein Profile

Protein Summary

The protein encoded by this gene contains four kringle domains and a serine protease domain, similar to that found in hepatic growth factor. Despite the presence of the serine protease domain, the encoded protein may not have any proteolytic activity. The receptor for this protein is RON tyrosine kinase, which upon activation stimulates ciliary motility of ciliated epithelial lung cells. This protein is secreted and cleaved to form an alpha chain and a beta chain bridged by disulfide bonds.
