The product of MAP7 is a microtubule-associated protein that is predominantly expressed in cells of epithelial origin. Additionally we are shipping MAP7 Antibodies (36) and MAP7 Proteins (2) and many more products for this protein.
Study of 117 patients suggests MAP7 as a candidate gene for sacral dysgenesis. However, we were unable to detect any sacral defects in the MAP7 knockout mice.
the expression ratio of Map7/B2M (show B2M ELISA Kits) may serve as a valuable prognostic marker in patients with Stage II colon cancer
identification of the microtubule-associated protein (show SPAG5 ELISA Kits) ensconsin (Ens)/microtubule-associated protein 7 (MAP7) and kinesin heavy chain (Khc)/Kif5b (show KIF5B ELISA Kits) as essential, evolutionarily conserved regulators of myonuclear positioning in Drosophila and cultured mammalian myotubes
MAP7 is the TRPV4 (show TRPV4 ELISA Kits) C-terminal binding protein; alignment of a.a.798-809 of TRPV4 (show TRPV4 ELISA Kits) was important in this interaction; TRPV4 (show TRPV4 ELISA Kits) and MAP7 colocalized in lung and kidney; coexpression resulted in redistribution of TRPV4 (show TRPV4 ELISA Kits) and enhanced membrane expression of TRPV4 (show TRPV4 ELISA Kits)
Complementation testing showed that one of these, Mtap7, is disrupted in mshi mice.
The product of this gene is a microtubule-associated protein that is predominantly expressed in cells of epithelial origin. Microtubule-associated proteins are thought to be involved in microtubule dynamics, which is essential for cell polarization and differentiation. This protein has been shown to be able to stabilize microtubules, and may serve to modulate microtubule functions. Studies of the related mouse protein also suggested an essential role in microtubule function required for spermatogenesis. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
