  1. A patient was diagnosed with Wiedemann-Steiner syndrome based on identification of a novel de novo pathogenic variant in the KMT2A gene.

  2. MLL gene rearrangement is associated with acute lymphocytic leukemia.

  3. Our data thus extend MLL1 function to H3K4 methylation and PD-L1 (show CD274 ELISA Kits) transcription activation in pancreatic cancer cells.

  4. KMT2A gene rearrangement is associated with acute megakaryoblastic leukemia in non-Down syndrome.

  5. The data revealed the presence of a partial tandem duplication of the MLL gene as the only detectable copy number change and 11 non-silent somatic mutations, including DNMT3A (show DNMT3A ELISA Kits) R882H and NRAS (show NRAS ELISA Kits) G13D. All somatic lesions were present both at initial MDS (show PAFAH1B1 ELISA Kits)/MPN (show PRSS27 ELISA Kits)-U diagnosis and at AML (show RUNX1 ELISA Kits) presentation at similar mutant allele frequencies.

  6. KMT2A rearrangement is associated with B-cell lymphoblastic leukemia.

  7. Loss of MLL-AF4 activity results in a reduction of H3K79me3 levels in the gene body and H3K27Ac levels at the 3' BCL-2 (show BCL2 ELISA Kits) enhancer, revealing a novel regulatory link between these two histone marks and MLL-AF4-mediated activation of BCL-2 (show BCL2 ELISA Kits).

  8. Results revealed that double minute chromosomes in myeloid neoplasms commonly harbor MYC (show MYC ELISA Kits) or MLL gene amplification and manifest as micronuclei within leukemic blasts.

  9. Targeted Disruption of the Interaction between WD-40 Repeat Protein 5 (show CAPS ELISA Kits) (WDR5 (show WDR5 ELISA Kits)) and Mixed Lineage Leukemia (MLL)/SET1 (show SETD1A ELISA Kits) Family Proteins Specifically Inhibits MLL1 and SETd1A (show SETD1A ELISA Kits) Methyltransferase Complexes.

  10. miR (show MLXIP ELISA Kits)-155 levels are correlated with MLL translocations, but that miR (show MLXIP ELISA Kits)-155 expression is dispensable for the formation of AML (show RUNX1 ELISA Kits) and has no effect on leukemia progression.

  1. Inactivation of Kmt2a in Men1 (show MEN1 ELISA Kits)-deficient mice accelerated pancreatic islet tumorigenesis and shortened the average life span. Increases in cell proliferation were observed in mouse pancreatic islet tumors upon inactivation of both Kmt2a and Men1 (show MEN1 ELISA Kits).

  2. Data suggest that RAS-homolog enriched in brain protein (Rheb1) promotes MLL-AF9 fusion protein initiated acute myeloid leukemia (AML) progression through target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1) signaling pathway.

  7. We have demonstrated that the Mll1 gene is critical to Th1 (show HAND1 ELISA Kits) differentiation in humans and mice

  8. MLL is the key Taspase1 substrate whose cleavage is required for MMTV-neuinduced tumor formation.

  9. Data indicate that Meis homeobox 1 (MEIS1 (show MEIS1 ELISA Kits)) is required for the maintenance of myeloid-lymphoid leukemia protein MLL-fusion gene leukemia, and hepatic leukemia factor (HLF (show HLF ELISA Kits))is a key downstream mediator of Meis1 (show MEIS1 ELISA Kits).

Myeloid/lymphoid Or Mixed-Lineage Leukemia (Trithorax Homolog, Drosophila) (MLL) Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

This gene encodes a transcriptional coactivator that plays an essential role in regulating gene expression during early development and hematopoiesis. The encoded protein contains multiple conserved functional domains. One of these domains, the SET domain, is responsible for its histone H3 lysine 4 (H3K4) methyltransferase activity which mediates chromatin modifications associated with epigenetic transcriptional activation. This protein is processed by the enzyme Taspase 1 into two fragments, MLL-C and MLL-N. These fragments reassociate and further assemble into different multiprotein complexes that regulate the transcription of specific target genes, including many of the HOX genes. Multiple chromosomal translocations involving this gene are the cause of certain acute lymphoid leukemias and acute myeloid leukemias. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
