N-Terminal EF-Hand Calcium Binding Protein 3 (NECAB3) ELISA Kits

The protein encoded by NECAB3 interacts with the amino-terminal domain of the neuron-specific X11-like protein (X11L), inhibits the association of X11L with amyloid precursor protein through a non-competitive mechanism, and abolishes the suppression of beta-amyloid production by X11L. Additionally we are shipping NECAB3 Antibodies (25) and NECAB3 Proteins (5) and many more products for this protein.

More ELISA Kits for NECAB3 Interaction Partners

Human N-Terminal EF-Hand Calcium Binding Protein 3 (NECAB3) interaction partners

  1. hXB51 isoforms regulate Abeta (show APP ELISA Kits) generation differently, either enhancing it by modifying the association of X11L (show APBA2 ELISA Kits) with APP (show APP ELISA Kits) or suppressing it in an X11L (show APBA2 ELISA Kits)-independent manner

  2. xb51 may be required for maturation and maintenance of xb51-expressing neurons in the forebrain

Mouse (Murine) N-Terminal EF-Hand Calcium Binding Protein 3 (NECAB3) interaction partners

  1. The genes for the three Necab's, including Necab-3, were expressed in specific, non-overlapping areas of the hippocampus.

  2. Physical interactions of Nek2 (show NEK2 ELISA Kits) with NIP1 (show DUOXA1 ELISA Kits) were confirmed. In fact, Nek2 (show NEK2 ELISA Kits) can phosphorylate NIP1 (show DUOXA1 ELISA Kits) in vivo. Immunostaining experiments revealed that NIP1 (show DUOXA1 ELISA Kits) is a Golgi protein (show GOLPH3 ELISA Kits).

  3. xb51 may be required for maturation and maintenance of xb51-expressing neurons in the forebrain

NECAB3 Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

The protein encoded by this gene interacts with the amino-terminal domain of the neuron-specific X11-like protein (X11L), inhibits the association of X11L with amyloid precursor protein through a non-competitive mechanism, and abolishes the suppression of beta-amyloid production by X11L. This protein, together with X11L, may play an important role in the regulatory system of amyloid precursor protein metabolism and beta-amyloid generation. The protein is phosphorylated by NIMA-related expressed kinase 2, and localizes to the Golgi apparatus. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
