Data show that silencing tumor-endothelial cells (EC) for trypsinogen 4 accumulated tissue factor pathway inhibitor-2 (TFPI-2 (show TFPI2 Antibodies)) in the matrix.
These findings suggest that inhibitor cleavage represents a functional adaptation of mesotrypsin that may have evolved in response to positive selection pressure.
High PRSS3 expression in EOC tissues was significantly associated with advanced FIGO stage and lymph node metastasis.
Data suggest that mesotrypsin cleavage of Kunitz domains may contribute to cancer progression.
Mesotrypsin generated saposins A-D from prosaposin (show PSAP Antibodies), and mature caspase-14 (show CASP14 Antibodies) contributed to this process by activating mesotrypsinogen to mesotrypsin. Knockdown of these proteases markedly down-regulated saposin A synthesis in skin equivalent models.
extra-pancreatic trypsinogen 3 is produced by esophageal adenocarcinoma cells and activates PAR-2 (show F2RL1 Antibodies) in an autocrine manner.
IFN regulatory factor 2 (Irf2 (show IRF2 Antibodies)) has a regulatory role in trypsinogen5 gene transcription, which is resistant to a major endogenous trypsin inhibitor, Spink3 (show SPINK1 Antibodies)
Report PRSS3/mesotrypsin upregulation in breast cancer cells and identify CD109 (show CD109 Antibodies) as the functional proteolytic target of mesotrypsin.
PRSS3 plays an important role in the progression, metastasis and prognosis of human pancreatic cancer.
Investigation did not reveal an association between PRSS3 variants and chronic pancreatitis.
Intra-acinar activation of trypsinogen is sufficient to initiate acute pancreatitis.
the initiation of acute pancreatitis depends on endocytic vacuole formation and trypsinogen activation in pancreatic acinar cells
This gene encodes a trypsinogen, which is a member of the trypsin family of serine proteases. This enzyme is expressed in the brain and pancreas and is resistant to common trypsin inhibitors. It is active on peptide linkages involving the carboxyl group of lysine or arginine. This gene is localized to the locus of T cell receptor beta variable orphans on chromosome 9. Four transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.
