  1. Expression and DNA methylation (show HELLS Proteins) status of the Rap2B gene in human bronchial epithelial cells treated by cigarette smoke condensate

  2. Our collective findings provide preliminary evidence that miR (show MLXIP Proteins)-342-3p acts as a tumor suppressor in small cell lung cancer through repression of RAP2B.

  3. Rap2B itself is not necessary for p53 (show TP53 Proteins)-dependent cell cycle arrest.

  4. Data indicate that rap (show LRPAP1 Proteins) GTP-binding protein Rap2B expression is significantly increased in suprarenal epithelioma and Rap2B can promote the cell migration and invasion abilities, suggesting a target for the treatment of suprarenal epithelioma.

  5. Rap2b mediates the pro-survival function of p53 (show TP53 Proteins) upon DNA damage.

  6. Stimulation of phospholipase C-epsilon by the M3 muscarinic acetylcholine receptor (show CHRM3 Proteins) mediated by cyclic AMP (show APRT Proteins) and the GTPase (show RACGAP1 Proteins) Rap2B

  7. the small GTPase (show RACGAP1 Proteins) Rap2B is involved in platelet activation

  8. A cDNA library consisting of 220 upregulated genes in tumour tissue was established and named as LSCC. Differential expression was confirmed in five of these genes, including IGFBP5 (show IGFBP5 Proteins), SQLE (show SQLE Proteins), RAP2B, CLDN1 (show CLDN1 Proteins), and TBL1XR1 (show TBL1XR1 Proteins).

  9. These results demonstrate that Rap2b, but not the more abundant Rap1b (show RAP1B Proteins), is associated to lipid rafts in human platelets.

RAP2B Protein Profile

Protein Summary

This intronless gene belongs to a family of RAS-related genes. The proteins encoded by these genes share approximately 50% amino acid identity with the classical RAS proteins and have numerous structural features in common. The most striking difference between the RAP and RAS proteins resides in their 61st amino acid: glutamine in RAS is replaced by threonine in RAP proteins. Evidence suggests that this protein may be polyisoprenylated and palmitoylated.
