Xenopus laevis RalA Binding Protein 1 (RALBP1) interaction partners

  1. Affects dynamics of the actin cytoskeleton, signalling from Ral (show rala Proteins) to RLIP is required for gastrulation.

  2. These results demonstrate that to participate in the control of the actin cytoskeleton, RLIP needs its complete N-terminal region coding for the mu2BD and the GAP domain.

Mouse (Murine) RalA Binding Protein 1 (RALBP1) interaction partners

  1. RLIP76 acts as a scaffold at recycling endosomes by binding activated R-Ras, recruiting ARNO (show CYTH2 Proteins) to activate Arf6 (show ARF6 Proteins), thereby contributing to cell spreading and migration.

  2. a fundamental role of RLIP76 in regulating the function of obesity-promoting pro-inflammatory cytokines

  3. RalBP1 is a gene regulating the seizure threshold and synaptic inhibition in mice

  4. results establish that RLIP76 is required for efficient endothelial cell function and angiogenesis in solid tumors

  5. RLIP76 represents a mechanistically significant target for developing effective interventions in aggressive and refractory pancreatic cancers

  6. Studies confirmed a model in which RLIP76 plays a central role in the pathogenesis of metabolic syndrome and RLIP76 loss causes profound and global alterations of MSy signaling functions.

  7. Findings show a fundamental role of RLIP76 in chemical carcinogenesis.

  8. Because RLIP76 is induced by oxidative stress, it could play a role in insulin (show INS Proteins) resistance seen in pathological conditions characterized by increased oxidative stress

  9. Data show that RLIP76 knockout mice are extremely sensitive to irradiation.

  10. role in regulating endocytosis of activin type II receptors by ARIP2 (show SYNJ2BP Proteins)

Human RalA Binding Protein 1 (RALBP1) interaction partners

  1. report showed that RLIP76 expression was significantly increased in breast cancer samples and positively correlated with the malignant status of breast cancer patients; results indicated that high RLIP76 expression was associated with poor prognosis of breast cancer patients

  2. RLIP76 expression is induced by TNF-alpha (show TNF Proteins) and follows the induction kinetics of inflammation markers, suggesting that inflammation can influence RLIP76 expression at the blood brain barrier.

  3. RLIP76 downregulation in HT29 CRC (show CALR Proteins) cells suppressed cell growth, enhanced cell apoptosis, induced cell cycle arrest, and inhibited cell invasion by decreasing MMP2 (show MMP2 Proteins) expression.

  4. High RLIP76 expression is associated with a poor outcome of meningioma.

  5. results revealed that the effect of miR (show MLXIP Proteins)-101 on prostate cancer cell apoptosis was due to RLIP76 regulation of the PI3K (show PIK3CA Proteins)/Akt (show AKT1 Proteins)/Bcl-2 (show BCL2 Proteins) signaling pathway

  6. RalBP1 protein is an independent predictor of poor survival and early relapse for CRC (show CALR Proteins) patients

  7. RLIP76 is a potential target for developing novel therapeutic strategies for leukemia

  8. RLIP76 is a node for Rho and Ras family signalling. [Review]

  9. Activation of RalBP1 during neoplastic epithelial cell transformation induces cytoplasmic accumulation of p27 (show PAK2 Proteins), this event requires p27 (show PAK2 Proteins) Ser (show SIGLEC1 Proteins)-10 phosphorylation by protein kinase B/Akt (show AKT1 Proteins).

  10. RLIP76 may suppress apoptosis and promote the proliferation of glioma cells by direct adenosine triphosphate-dependent xenobiotic transport and by activating the Rac1-JNK (show MAPK8 Proteins) signaling pathway.

RALBP1 Protein Profile

Protein Summary

Can activate specifically hydrolysis of GTP bound to RAC1 and CDC42, but not RALA. Mediates ATP-dependent transport of S-(2,4-dinitrophenyl)-glutathione (DNP-SG) and doxorubicin (DOX) and is the major ATP-dependent transporter of glutathione conjugates of electrophiles (GS-E) and DOX in erythrocytes. Can catalyze transport of glutathione conjugates and xenobiotics, and may contribute to the multidrug resistance phenomenon. Serves as a scaffold protein that brings together proteins forming an endocytotic complex during interphase and also with CDK1 to switch off endocytosis, One of its substrates would be EPN1/Epsin (By similarity).
