The protein encoded by S100A5 is a member of the S100 family of proteins containing 2 EF-hand calcium-binding motifs. Additionally we are shipping S100A5 Proteins (19) and S100A5 Kits (8) and many more products for this protein.
Showing 10 out of 70 products:
S100a5 expression is directly and rapidly increased by odor stimulation of mouse olfactory sensory neurons. [S100a5]
These results indicated that pentamidine blocks the binding between S100A5 and RAGE (show AGER Antibodies) V domain. This finding is useful for the development of new anti-proliferation drugs.
S100A5 employs the periphery of the dimer interface to interact with RAGE (show AGER Antibodies)-v
Homodimeric solution structures of S100A5 in both apo (show C9orf3 Antibodies) & Ca(II (show CA2 Antibodies))-loaded forms were obtained & show conformational rearrangement on Ca binding. Also, large mobility was observed in hinge loop of apo (show C9orf3 Antibodies)-S100A5; this mobility was not quenched in Ca form.
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the S100 family of proteins containing 2 EF-hand calcium-binding motifs. S100 proteins are localized in the cytoplasm and/or nucleus of a wide range of cells, and involved in the regulation of a number of cellular processes such as cell cycle progression and differentiation. S100 genes include at least 13 members which are located as a cluster on chromosome 1q21. This protein has a Ca2+ affinity 20- to 100-fold higher than the other S100 proteins studied under identical conditions. This protein also binds Zn2+ and Cu2+, and Cu2+ strongly which impairs the binding of Ca2+. This protein is expressed in very restricted regions of the adult brain.
