The protein encoded by SON binds to a specific DNA sequence upstream of the upstream regulatory sequence of the core promoter and second enhancer of human hepatitis B virus (HBV). Additionally we are shipping SON DNA Binding Protein Kits (2) and many more products for this protein.

progenitors. Our findings define SON as a fine-tuner of the MLL (show MLL Antibodies)-menin (show MEN1 Antibodies) interaction and reveal short SON overexpression as a marker indicating aberrant transcriptional initiation in leukemia.
Studied knockdown screening of 78 MAPK (show MAPK1 Antibodies)-associated molecules associated with proliferation of pancreatic cancer cells in vitro. Knockdown of SON substantially suppressed pancreatic cancer cell proliferation and survival in vitro and tumorigenicity in vivo.
SON protein regulates GATA-2 (show GATA2 Antibodies) through transcriptional control of the microRNA 23a~27a~24-2 cluster
The identification of the RNA/DNA-binding protein (show UBE2V1 Antibodies) SON as a component of spliceosome that plays pleiotropic roles during mitotic progression, is reported.
SON is an indispensable factor for cell growth, and AML1 (show RUNX1 Antibodies)-ETO (show RUNX1T1 Antibodies) binding to SON may trigger signals inhibiting leukemogenesis.
Leptin (show LEP Antibodies)-induced NREBP is an important regulator of ghrelin (show GHRL Antibodies) signaling in the hypothalamus.
The protein encoded by this gene binds to a specific DNA sequence upstream of the upstream regulatory sequence of the core promoter and second enhancer of human hepatitis B virus (HBV). Through this binding, it represses HBV core promoter activity, transcription of HBV genes, and production of HBV virions. The protein shows sequence similarities with other DNA-binding structural proteins such as gallin, oncoproteins of the MYC family, and the oncoprotein MOS. It may also be involved in protecting cells from apoptosis and in pre-mRNA splicing. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene, but the full-length nature of only two of them has been determined.
