More ELISA Kits for Sirtuin 5 Interaction Partners

Human Sirtuin 5 (SIRT5) interaction partners

  1. Use of a pan-sirtuin (show SIRT1 ELISA Kits) inhibitor and shRNA-mediated protein knockdown led us to uncover a role for the NAD(+)-dependent family of sirtuins, and in particular for SIRT2 (show SIRT2 ELISA Kits) and SIRT5, in the regulation of the necroptotic cell death program

  2. mutual cooperation between Y102 and R105 residues in promoting the desuccinylation versus deacetylation reaction in SIRT5.

  3. Data showed that SIRT5 was involved in protein post-translational modifications through its potent demalonylase, desuccinylase, and deglutarylase activities. Also, the protein was found in the mitochondrial, cytoplasmic, and nuclear compartments. [review]

  4. Results show that mitochondrial sirtuins SIRT3 (show SIRT3 ELISA Kits), SIRT4 (show SIRT4 ELISA Kits), and SIRT5 can promote increased mitochondrial respiration and cellular metabolism and respond to excess glucose by inducing a coordinated increase of glycolysis and respiration.

  5. Results suggest a role for SIRT5 in influencing oocyte quality and in vitro fertilization outcomes.

  6. SIRT1 (show SIRT1 ELISA Kits)/SIRT5-mediated PML (show PML ELISA Kits) deacetylation plays a role in the regulation of cancer cell survival.

  7. The results reveal the Sirt5 substrate acyl selectivity and its molecular basis and enable the design of inhibitors for Sirt5.

  8. High SIRT5 expression facilitates cancer cell growth and drug resistance in non-small cell lung cancer.

  9. Expression of SIRT5 in the entorhinal cortex, hippocampus, and white matter increases during the progression of Alzheimer disease. It is seen in activated microglia.

  10. These results reveal a novel post-translational regulation of SOD1 (show SOD1 ELISA Kits) by means of succinylation and SIRT5-dependent desuccinylation, which is important for the growth of lung tumor cells.

Cow (Bovine) Sirtuin 5 (SIRT5) interaction partners

  1. Association analysis of individual SIRT5 SNPs and haplotype combinations reveal that the 4 loci are significantly associated with some body measurement and ultrasound traits in Qinchuan cattle.

Mouse (Murine) Sirtuin 5 (SIRT5) interaction partners

  1. In the cochlea, the expression of SIRT1 (show SIRT1 ELISA Kits), 3, and 5 (both mRNA and protein) was decreased in the old mice

  2. These findings establish that regulating heart metabolism and function is a major physiological function of lysine succinylation and SIRT5.

  3. Myocardial ischemic reperfusion injury in Sirt5-/- heart is restored to wild-type levels by pretreatment with dimethyl malonate, a competitive inhibitor of succinate dehydrogenase (SDH (show SDHA ELISA Kits)), implicating alteration in SDH (show SDS ELISA Kits) activity as causative of the injury.

  4. SIRT5 has a role in cellular metabolism with a multiple enzymatic activities

  5. SIRT3 (show SIRT3 ELISA Kits) and SIRT5 regulate the enzyme activity and cardiolipin binding of very long-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase (show ACADVL ELISA Kits)

  6. Pathway analysis identified glycolysis as the top SIRT5-regulated pathway. Importantly, glycolytic flux was diminished in primary hepatocytes from Sirt5(-/-) compared to WT mice.

  7. Data indicated that SIRT5 ameliorates MPTP (show PTPN2 ELISA Kits)-induced nigrostriatal dopaminergic degeneration via preserving mitochondrial antioxidant capacity.

  8. Lysine glutarylation is a protein posttranslational modification regulated by SIRT5.

  9. Loss of SIRT5 leads to accumulation of medium- and long-chain acylcarnitines and decreased beta-hydroxybutyrate production in vivo.

  10. Sirt5 is likely to be dispensable for the metabolic homeostasis under the basal conditions.

Sirtuin 5 (SIRT5) Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

This gene encodes a member of the sirtuin family of proteins, homologs to the yeast Sir2 protein. Members of the sirtuin family are characterized by a sirtuin core domain and grouped into four classes. The functions of human sirtuins have not yet been determined\; however, yeast sirtuin proteins are known to regulate epigenetic gene silencing and suppress recombination of rDNA. Studies suggest that the human sirtuins may function as intracellular regulatory proteins with mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase activity. The protein encoded by this gene is included in class III of the sirtuin family. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants.
