Human Succinate Dehydrogenase Complex, Subunit D, Integral Membrane Protein (SDHD) interaction partners

  1. Mortality rates and survival in a Dutch cohort of SDHD variant carriers does not differ from that of the general Dutch population.

  2. Melanomas harbor recurrent SDHD promoter mutations, which occur primarily as C>T alterations in UV-exposed melanomas.

  3. Loss of SDH (show SARDH ELISA Kits) activity leads to changes in the metabolism of non-essential amino acids.

  4. significant association with overall survival were confirmed for SDHC (show SDHC ELISA Kits) gene, SDHD gene and FH gene ... SDHC (show SDHC ELISA Kits) gene and FH gene were the primary factors contributing to the different overall survival time of colorectal carcinoma

  5. 15 YEARS OF PARAGANGLIOMA: Genetics and mechanism of pheochromocytoma-paraganglioma syndromes characterized by germline SDHB (show SDHB ELISA Kits) and SDHD mutations

  6. Metabolic sensors via Sirt3 (show SIRT3 ELISA Kits) maximize the cellular reserve respiratory capacity through activating mitochondrial complex II, which enhances cell survival after hypoxia.

  7. Data indicate that double pathogenic mutations in the succinate dehydrogenase complex subunit D (SDHD) gene is associated with the aggressive paraganglioma syndrome type 1 (PGL1) phenotype.

  8. suggested that SDHD mutation may enhance the overexpression of miR (show MLXIP ELISA Kits)-101 in malignant tumors and miR (show MLXIP ELISA Kits)-101 may be a potential diagnostic biomarker for malignant pheochromocytoma and benign pheochromocytoma

  9. Hereditary pheochromocytoma / paraganglioma associated with SDHD gene mutations has more aggressive course, bilateral adrenal involvement, higher recurrence rate, younger age at disease manifestations.

  10. Autosomal dominant susceptibility for Paraganglioma is modified by imprinting and mutations in the SDHD gene cause Paragangliomas only when the mutation is inherited from father.

Pig (Porcine) Succinate Dehydrogenase Complex, Subunit D, Integral Membrane Protein (SDHD) interaction partners

  1. The expression and sequencing of SDHD and single nucleotide polymorphisms of the gene are reported.

Mouse (Murine) Succinate Dehydrogenase Complex, Subunit D, Integral Membrane Protein (SDHD) interaction partners

  1. Loss of SDH (show SDS ELISA Kits) activity leads to changes in the metabolism of non-essential amino acids.

  2. In mice with conditional knockout of Sdhd, we found that the Cdkn1a (show CDKN1A ELISA Kits) gene was up-regulated in kidney and adrenal. This gene encodes the cyclin-dependent kinase (show CDK1 ELISA Kits) inhibitor p21(WAF1/Cip1 (show CDKN1A ELISA Kits)), a factor implicated in cell cycle, senescence, and cancer.

  3. complete loss of SdhD is not sufficient to induce tumorigenesis in mice

  4. SDHD is required for the formation of a stable mitochondrial complex II, and it is selectively important for hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction of intra-acinar vessels.

  5. Knockout of Sdhd in the mouse does not result in a disease phenotype; H19 (show NCKAP1 ELISA Kits) may not be an initiator of PGL (show PGLS ELISA Kits)/PC tumorigenesis

  6. Mitochondrial Sdhd is required for early embryogenesis, and its partial deficiency results in persistent carotid body glomus cell activation with full responsiveness to cell hypoxia.

Succinate Dehydrogenase Complex, Subunit D, Integral Membrane Protein (SDHD) Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

This gene encodes a member of complex II of the respiratory chain, which is responsible for the oxidation of succinate. The encoded protein is one of two integral membrane proteins anchoring the complex to the matrix side of the mitochondrial inner membrane. Mutations in this gene are associated with the formation of tumors, including hereditary paraganglioma. Transmission of disease occurs almost exclusively through the paternal allele, suggesting that this locus may be maternally imprinted. There are pseudogenes for this gene on chromosomes 1, 2, 3, 7, and 18. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
