Suggest alpha/beta2-syntrophins do not regulate ABCA1 (show ABCA1 Antibodies) activity and insulin (show INS Antibodies) release but may have a role in regulating glucose uptake, ERK (show EPHB2 Antibodies) and SR-BI (show SCARB1 Antibodies) levels, and sphingomyelin metabolism in obesity.
Results suggest DGK-zeta (show DGKZ Antibodies) and syntrophins play a role at multiple stages of the fusion process.
ICA512 (show PTPRN Antibodies)-CCF (show PITX1 Antibodies) also dimerizes with intact ICA512 (show PTPRN Antibodies) on granules, thereby displacing it from beta2-syntrophin.
conformational plasticity of the native ensemble of this PDZ domain (show INADL Antibodies) and the regulation of insulin (show INS Antibodies) secretion
patients with deficiency of beta2-syntrophin and alpha-dystrobrevin (show DTNA Antibodies) presented with severe congenital weakness and died in the first year of life
Dystrophin is a large, rod-like cytoskeletal protein found at the inner surface of muscle fibers. Dystrophin is missing in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy patients and is present in reduced amounts in Becker Muscular Dystrophy patients. The protein encoded by this gene is a peripheral membrane protein found associated with dystrophin and dystrophin-related proteins. This gene is a member of the syntrophin gene family, which contains at least two other structurally-related genes.
