Cow (Bovine) Polyclonal TRIM17 Primary Antibody for IHC, WB - ABIN2775863
Ogawa, Saito, Matsuda, Seki, Hayashi, Orimo, Hosoi, Ouchi, Muramatsu, Hori, Inoue: Chromosome mapping of RNF16 and rnf16, human, mouse and rat genes coding for testis RING finger protein (terf), a member of the RING finger family. in Cytogenetics and cell genetics 2000
Human Polyclonal TRIM17 Primary Antibody for WB - ABIN2775864
Reymond, Meroni, Fantozzi, Merla, Cairo, Luzi, Riganelli, Zanaria, Messali, Cainarca, Guffanti, Minucci, Pelicci, Ballabio: The tripartite motif family identifies cell compartments. in The EMBO journal 2001
NFATc3 (show NFATC3 Antibodies) interacted in a SUMO-dependent manner with Trim17, an E3 ubiquitin ligase (show MUL1 Antibodies) necessary for neuronal apoptosis
the E3 ubiquitin ligase (show MUL1 Antibodies) terf causes protein degradation of ZWINT (show ZWINT Antibodies) and negatively regulates cell proliferation
terf interacts with TRIM44 (show TRIM44 Antibodies);TRIM44 (show TRIM44 Antibodies) inhibited ubiquitination of terf, and thus stabilized the protein.
Trim17 contributes to the ubiquitination and the proteasomal degradation of Mcl-1 (show MCL1 Antibodies) in neurons.
Overexpression and silencing data indicate that Trim17 is necessary and sufficient for inducing the Bax (show BAX Antibodies)-dependent intrinsic pathway of neuronal apoptosis and that its pro-apoptotic effect depends on its E3 activity.
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region. The protein localizes to cytoplasmic bodies. The protein is expressed almost exclusively in the testis, but its function is unknown. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
