The membrane-associated protein encoded by TAP2 is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. Additionally we are shipping TAP2 Kits (7) and TAP2 Proteins (7) and many more products for this protein.
Showing 10 out of 81 products:
TAP/TPN complex formation is driven by hydrophobic interactions via leucine zipper-like motifs.
TAP2, HLA-DOA (show HLA-DOA Antibodies), HLA-DOB (show HLA-DOB Antibodies), and tapasin (show TAPBP Antibodies) loci are novel candidate regions for susceptibility to HCV infection and viral clearance in the Chinese population
Studies indicate that ABC (show ABCB6 Antibodies) transporters associated with antigen processing TAP1 (show TAP1 Antibodies)/2 (ABCB2 (show TAP1 Antibodies)/3) is a crucial element of the adaptive immune system.
We showed that TAP2 gene has an association with pulmonary tuberculosis in Koreans.
Our meta-analyses suggested that TAP2-379Ile allele was significantly associated with a 59% increased risk for rheumatoid arthritis
Results suggested an association between TAP2-565 polymorphism and chronic lymphoid leukemia (CLL). TAP2-665 GG genotype might be a risk factor for CLL, chronic myeloblastic leukemia, and multiple myeloma.
TAP1 AND TAP2 polymorphisms are associated with a reduced risk for developing cervical intraepithelial neoplasia.
Three tapasin binding sites on TAP have been described, two of which are located in the N-terminal domains of TAP1 and TAP2.
TAP1-TAP2 NBD dimers are not fully stabilized by nucleotides alone, and substrate binding plays a key role in inducing the transition state conformations of the NBD.
the N-terminal region of Snm1B (show DCLRE1B Antibodies) forms a complex containing PSF2 and Mus81 (show MUS81 Antibodies), while the C-terminal region is important for PSF2-mediated chromatin association.
The Rose strain has an A to T substitution in exon 10 of TAP1 (show TAP1 Antibodies), resulting in an asparagine to valine substitution at position 643; defective TAP expression mice have very low major histocompatibility complex-I cell-surface expression, and few CD8 (show CD8A Antibodies) T cells.
A major role for tapasin as a stabilizer of the TAP peptide transporter and consequences for MHC class I expression
The membrane-associated protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the MDR/TAP subfamily. Members of the MDR/TAP subfamily are involved in multidrug resistance. This gene is located 7 kb telomeric to gene family member ABCB2. The protein encoded by this gene is involved in antigen presentation. This protein forms a heterodimer with ABCB2 in order to transport peptides from the cytoplasm to the endoplasmic reticulum. Mutations in this gene may be associated with ankylosing spondylitis, insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, and celiac disease. Alternative splicing of this gene produces two products which differ in peptide selectivity and level of restoration of surface expression of MHC class I molecules.
