Human Tripartite Motif Containing 6 (TRIM6) interaction partners

  1. Intriguingly, the authors also found that TRIM6 enhances ebola virus polymerase activity in a minigenome assay and TRIM6 knockout cells have reduced replication of infectious ebola virus, suggesting that VP35 hijacks TRIM6 to promote ebola virus replication through ubiquitination.

  2. Live NiV infection, but not a recombinant NiV lacking the M protein (show MYOM2 ELISA Kits), reduced the levels of endogenous TRIM6 protein expression. To our knowledge, matrix proteins of paramyxoviruses have never been reported to be involved in innate immune antagonism. We report here a novel mechanism of viral innate immune evasion by targeting TRIM6, IKKepsilon (show IKBKE ELISA Kits) and unanchored polyubiquitin (show UBB ELISA Kits) chains.

  3. TRIM6 and the E2-ubiquitin conjugase (show GGH ELISA Kits) UbE2K (show UBE2K ELISA Kits) cooperated in the synthesis of unanchored K48-linked polyubiquitin (show UBB ELISA Kits) chains, which activated IKKepsilon (show IKBKE ELISA Kits) for subsequent STAT1 (show STAT1 ELISA Kits) phosphorylation.

  4. heterologous RING, B-box 2, and CC domains from related TRIM (show TRAT1 ELISA Kits) proteins can functionally substitute for TRIM5alpha (show TRIM5 ELISA Kits)(rh) domains.

Mouse (Murine) Tripartite Motif Containing 6 (TRIM6) interaction partners

  1. TRIM6 regulates the transcriptional activity of Myc (show MYC ELISA Kits) during the maintenance of cell pluripotency, suggesting that TRIM6 functions as a novel regulator for Myc (show MYC ELISA Kits)-mediated transcription in embryonic stem cells.

TRIM6 Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING, B-box type 1 and B-box type 2 domain, and a coiled-coil region. The protein localizes to the nucleus, but its specific function has not been identified. This gene is mapped to chromosome 11p15, where it resides within a TRIM gene cluster. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. A read-through transcript from this gene into the downstream TRIM34 gene has also been observed, which results in a fusion product from these neighboring family members.
