The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is an important cellular mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation. Additionally we are shipping UBE2E3 Antibodies (115) and many more products for this protein.

Data indicate that ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme (show Ube2t Proteins) UBE2E3 and importin 11 (show IPO11 Proteins) (Imp (show IMPA1 Proteins)-11)promote the nuclear accumulation and activity of transcription factor NF-E2 (show NFE2 Proteins) (Nrf2 (show GABPA Proteins)) by restricting the transcription factor from partitioning to the mitochondria.
UBE2E3 is essential for the proliferation of RPE-1 (show PMEL Proteins) cells and is downregulated during RPE (show RPE Proteins) layer maturation in the developing mouse eye.
UBC4 (show UBE2D2 Proteins)-testis isoform plays a role in early maturation of the testis
The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is an important cellular mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation. Ubiquitination involves at least three classes of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes, or E1s, ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes, or E2s, and ubiquitin-protein ligases, or E3s. This gene encodes a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. The encoded protein shares 100% sequence identity with the mouse and rat counterparts, which indicates that this enzyme is highly conserved in eukaryotes. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
