More Proteins for WD Repeat Domain 83 (wdr83) Interaction Partners

Human WD Repeat Domain 83 (wdr83) interaction partners

  1. Morg1 facilitates Par6 (show PARD6A Proteins)-aPKC binding to Crb3 (show CRB3 Proteins) for definition of apical identity of epithelial cells.

  2. WDR83 and DHPS (show DHPS Proteins) were capable of forming an RNA duplex at overlapping 3' untranslated regions and this duplex increased their mutual stability, which was required for the bidirectional regulation.

  3. Component of a modular scaffold system that participates in the regulation of agonist-specific ERK (show EPHB2 Proteins) signaling.

  4. Morg1 expression is reduced in human brain tissue with ischemic damage. Reactive astrocytes in the surrounding brain tissue showed strong Morg1 expression.

Mouse (Murine) WD Repeat Domain 83 (wdr83) interaction partners

  1. this study shows for the first time in various renal cells that ANG II (show AGT Proteins) modulates Morg1 expression and HIF-1alpha (show HIF1A Proteins) transcriptional activity via cell type-specific mechanisms, demonstrating a novel mechanism by which ANG II (show AGT Proteins) may contribute to renal disease.

  2. The major finding of this study is that Morg1+/- mice are partially protected from cerebral ischemia and reperfusion injury in comparison to the WT (Morg1+/+) animals

  3. Morg1 may be a novel therapeutic target to limit renal injury after ischemia-reperfusion

WD Repeat Domain 83 (wdr83) Protein Profile

Protein Summary

This gene encodes a member of the WD-40 protein family. The protein is proposed to function as a molecular scaffold for various multimeric protein complexes. The protein associates with several components of the extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) pathway, and promotes ERK activity in response to serum or other signals. The protein also interacts with egl nine homolog 3 (EGLN3, also known as PHD3) and regulates expression of hypoxia-inducible factor 1, and has been purified as part of the spliceosome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
