Chicken Polyclonal GABRG3 Primary Antibody for WB - ABIN2792298
Hadingham, Wafford, Thompson, Palmer, Whiting: Expression and pharmacology of human GABAA receptors containing gamma 3 subunits. in European journal of pharmacology 1996
suggestive evidence was found for association between rs8036270 in the GABRG3 gene and exercise participation
There is consistent evidence of association between alcohol dependence and GABRG3: all single-nucleotide polymorphisms across the gene yielded evidence of association, and haplotype analyses were highly significant in alcoholics compared to controls.
A daughter who carried the der (show GDF3 Antibodies) Y had the clinical features of Prader-Willi syndrome while a son who carries the der (show GDF3 Antibodies) 15 has mild developmental delay and hypogonadism.
This gene encodes a gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptor. GABA is the major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the mammalian brain where it acts at GABA-A receptors, which are ligand-gated chloride channels. Chloride conductance of these channels can be modulated by agents such as benzodiazepines that bind to the GABA-A receptor. GABA-A receptors are pentameric, consisting of proteins from several subunit classes: alpha, beta, gamma, delta and rho. The protein encoded by this gene is a gamma subunit, which contains the benzodiazepine binding site. Two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.
