The protein encoded by STK4 is a cytoplasmic kinase that is structurally similar to the yeast Ste20p kinase, which acts upstream of the stress-induced mitogen-activated protein kinase cascade. Additionally we are shipping STK4 Proteins (16) and STK4 Kits (1) and many more products for this protein.

Data indicate that two siblings with a serine/threonine kinase 4 (STK4) mutation with features of autosomal recessive (AR) hyperimmunoglobulin E syndrome and autoimmune cytopenias.
STK4 was reduced in macrophages from human hepatoma patients and was inversely associated with the levels of IRAK1, IL-6, and phospho-p65 or phospho-STAT3. Serum STK4 levels were specifically decreased in HCC patients with high levels of IL-6.
The MST1/2-SAV1 complex, a core component of the Hippo pathway, promotes ciliogenesis.
the kinase Mst1 (show MST1 Antibodies) controls selective CCR7 (show CCR7 Antibodies)-dependent functions in human mature dendritic cells.
Genetic inactivation of STK4 restores YAP1 (show YAP1 Antibodies) levels, triggering cell death in hematologic malignancies.
Results indicate that changes in phosphorylation orchestrate interactions between kinases and phosphatases in Hippo (MST1 (show MST1 Antibodies)/2 protein kinases) signaling, providing a putative mechanism for pathway regulation.
Inhibition of Mst1 (show MST1 Antibodies) kinase activation in cardiomyocytes protects against cell hypoxia.
Under diabetogenic conditions, MST1 (show MST1 Antibodies) was strongly activated in beta cells, and induced apoptosis via BIM (show BCL2L11 Antibodies) upregulation, and impaired insulin (show INS Antibodies) secretion via phosphorylation of PDX1 (show PDX1 Antibodies).
PHLPP1 (show PHLPP1 Antibodies) is a binding protein for Mst1 (show MST1 Antibodies) and it modulates the Hippo pathway by dephosphorylating Mst1 (show MST1 Antibodies) at the inhibitory Thr (show TRH Antibodies)(387) of Mst1 (show MST1 Antibodies).
mammalian sterile 20-like kinase 1 (Mst1) knockout abolished the protective effects of Luteolin administration in a mouse model of myocardial infarction.
Studies indicate that Hippo (Hpo (show GFER Antibodies); MST1 (show MST1 Antibodies)/2 in mammals) signaling pathway plays a central role in the cell fate-specification process.
Data (including data from studies in knockout/transgenic mice) suggest Mst1 (show MST1 Antibodies) has functional roles in cytotoxic T-lymphocytes and in inhibition of tumor progression/size of T-cell lymphoma; Mst1 (show MST1 Antibodies) may be involved in tumor immunity/immunologic surveillance.

Phosphorylation of LC3 (show MAP1LC3A Antibodies) by the STK3 (show PKN1 Antibodies) and STK4 is essential for autophagy.
These results identify MST2 (show STK3 Antibodies), not MST1 (show MST1 Antibodies), as a critical regulator of caspase (show CASP3 Antibodies)-mediated photoreceptor cell death in the detached retina and indicate its potential as a future neuroprotection target.
Mst1 (show MST1 Antibodies)/2 regulate placental development by control of trophoblast cell differentiation and labyrinthine vasculature at midgestation and Mst1 (show MST1 Antibodies)/2 control labyrinth morphogenesis in trophoblast- and fetal endothelial-dependent manners.
Mst1 (show MST1 Antibodies) is required for Treg cells to mediate contact-dependent suppressor functions.
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic kinase that is structurally similar to the yeast Ste20p kinase, which acts upstream of the stress-induced mitogen-activated protein kinase cascade. The encoded protein can phosphorylate myelin basic protein and undergoes autophosphorylation. A caspase-cleaved fragment of the encoded protein has been shown to be capable of phosphorylating histone H2B. The particular phosphorylation catalyzed by this protein has been correlated with apoptosis, and it's possible that this protein induces the chromatin condensation observed in this process.
