Glutathione MagBeads (Cat. No. L00327, 8 ml 25% slurry) are average 40-µm in size, superparamagnetic beads coupled with reduced glutathione (GSH), and used for rapid and reliable purification of GST fusion protein with minimal handling. The use of nonmagnetic GST purification matrices for small-scale batch protein purifications can be time consuming and difficult while the use of magnetic particles eliminates several centrifugation steps and the need for multiple tubes. It also minimizes the loss of sample material. Glutathione MagBeads have a binding capacity of 5 - 10 mg GST per 1 ml settled beads.
