|Availability||Will be delivered in 2 to 3 Business Days|
|Immunogen||Sequence: Z-Asp-Glu-Val-Asp-FMK (Z-DEVD-FMK) (FMK, fluoromethyl ketone)|
|Description||A synthetic peptide inhibitor that irreversibly inhibits caspase-3 and related protease/caspase activity and blocks apoptosis. DEVD is the specific recognition sequence found in poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP). The inhibitor is designed as a methyl ester to facilitate cell permeability.|
|Application Notes||We recommend using 1000-5000X dilutions for inhibiting caspase-3 activity in Jurkat cell culture (e.g., Add 1 μ l to 1-5 ml of culture medium). The inhibitor can be added to culture medium together with apoptosis inducer or 1 hr before inducer is added. The optimal doses may vary for different cells and culture conditions.|
|Purity||>98% by HPLC analysis.|
|Buffer||20 μ l of Z-DEVD-FMK (10 mM)|
|Storage||Store at –20 o C. SHELF LIFE: 1 year under proper storage conditions|
|Restrictions||For Research Use only|
