Immunogen Sequence: Z-Ile-Glu-Thr-Asp-FMK (FMK, fluoromethyl ketone)
Sequence Z-Ile-Glu(OMe)-Thr-Asp(OMe)-FMK
Purity greater than 99% by HPLC
Background A synthetic peptide that irreversibly inhibits FLICE and related protease/caspase activity and blocks apoptosis. IETD is the specific recognition sequence found in CPP32 proenzyme. The inhibitor is designed as a methyl ester to facilitate cell permeability. (CAUTION: If the intended use is on purified or recombinant enzymes, esterase should be added to generate free carboxyl groups.)
Molecular Weight 654.7 Da
Application Notes We recommend using 5000X dilutions for inhibiting caspase-8 activity in Jurkat cell culture (e.g., Add 1 l to 5 mL of culture medium). The optimal doses may vary for different cells and culture conditions.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Liquid
Concentration 10 mM
Buffer DMSO
Handling Advice Protect from light and moisture.
Storage -20 °C
Expiry Date 12 months
