Human V-Rel Reticuloendotheliosis Viral Oncogene Homolog A (Avian) (RELA) interaction partners

  1. knockdown of RPA2 (show RPA2 Proteins) promoted formation of the menin (show MEN1 Proteins)-p65 (show GORASP1 Proteins) complex and repressed the expression of NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins)-mediated genes. RPA2 (show RPA2 Proteins) expression was induced via an E2F1 (show E2F1 Proteins)-dependent mechanism in MCF7 and MDA-MB-231 cells treated with NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins) activators, TNF-alpha (show TNF Proteins) or lipopolysaccharide (LPS (show IRF6 Proteins)).

  2. Consistent with these effects, RelA (show NFkBP65 Proteins) T505A mice exhibit earlier onset of cancer in the N-nitrosodiethylamine model of hepatocellular carcinoma. These data reveal a critical pathway controlling NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins) function in the liver that acts to suppress the tumour-promoting activities of RelA (show NFkBP65 Proteins).

  3. NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins) RelB (show RELB Proteins) protein, but not RelA (show NFkBP65 Proteins), displayed high expression in Endometrial cancer samples and cell lines.

  4. This study demonstrates for the first time that a prominent pathway of reovirus oncolysis of breast cancer is mediated through NF-kB p65 and that PUMA (show BBC3 Proteins) upregulation is dependent on NF-kB p65 activation.

  5. Site-differential phosphorylation of RelA/p65 (show NFkBP65 Proteins) modulates RITA (show ZNF331 Proteins) sensitivity in cancer cells.

  6. Vaccinia virus K1 inhibited acetylation of the RelA (p65 (show NFkBP65 Proteins)) subunit of NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins), a nuclear event known to be required for NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins) activation.

  7. Within the nucleus, PKC-theta; catalytic activity maintains the Ser536 phosphorylation on the p65 subunit of NF-kappaB (also known as RelA) and can directly influence chromatin accessibility at transcriptional memory genes by regulating H2B deposition.

  8. A subset of leukemic tumors showed active BCR (show BCR Proteins) and NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins) signaling apparently independent of microenvironmental support. In one of these samples, we identified a novel somatic mutation in RELA (show NFkBP65 Proteins) (E39Q). This sample was resistant to ibrutinib-mediated inhibition of NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins) and apoptosis.

  9. to elucidate the induced activation of lytic pathway by ionizing radiation, irradiated SNU-719 cells were checked for the RelA (show NFkBP65 Proteins) and RelB (show RELB Proteins) expression by real-time PCR. RelB (show RELB Proteins) level showed a dose-dependent enhancement on 2nd and 4th day, whereas only a slight upregulation in RelA (show NFkBP65 Proteins) is noticed

  10. glatiramer acetate treatment also significantly reduced CD40 (show CD40 Proteins)-mediated P65 (show GORASP1 Proteins) phosphorylation in RRMS patients, suggesting that reducing CD40 (show CD40 Proteins)-mediated p-P65 (show GORASP1 Proteins) induction may be a general mechanism by which some current therapies modulate Multiple Sclerosis disease.

Cow (Bovine) V-Rel Reticuloendotheliosis Viral Oncogene Homolog A (Avian) (RELA) interaction partners

  1. Hepatic SREBP-1c (show SREBF1 Proteins)-mediated lipid synthesis and the NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins) inflammatory pathway were both overinduced in cows with fatty liver.

  2. Cytopathic bovine viral diarrhea virus strain induces immune marker production in bovine cells through the NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins) signaling pathway.

  3. The role of NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins) and C/EBP (show CEBPA Proteins) factors in regulating basal and pathogen-induced expression of both genes from cattle, is investigated.

  4. Altering the extracellular matrix to promote p38 (show MAPK14 Proteins) activation in cells on fibronectin (show FN1 Proteins) suppresses NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins) activation, suggesting a novel therapeutic strategy for treating

  5. full length coding sequence of the cattle transcription factor p65 (show NFkBP65 Proteins) was isolated and cloned

  6. the pathogen causing subclinical mastitis impairs NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins) activation in MEC (show CCL28 Proteins) thereby severely weakening the immune response, induction of IL-8 (show IL8 Proteins) and TNFalpha (show TNF Proteins), in the udder

  7. These results confirm that VEGI (show TNFSF15 Proteins) utilizes NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins) as a pro-survival role factor in endothelial cells.

RELA Protein Profile

Protein Summary

NF-kappa-B is a ubiquitous transcription factor involved in several biological processes. It is held in the cytoplasm in an inactive state by specific inhibitors. Upon degradation of the inhibitor, NF-kappa-B moves to the nucleus and activates transcription of specific genes. NF-kappa-B is composed of NFKB1 or NFKB2 bound to either REL, RELA, or RELB. The most abundant form of NF-kappa-B is NFKB1 complexed with the product of this gene, RELA. Four transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
