Additional Information
| Alternative name | Insulin-Like Growth Factor-I Receptor (IGF-1 R) |
| Immunogen | BALB/C mice were immunized with IGF-1R/3t3 mouse fibroblasts transfected with human type I IGF-receptor cDNA. |
| Format | Purified |
| Isotype | IgG1 (Matching secondary antibodies) |
| Clone | 24-31 |
| Specificity | This antibody stains with a 125 kD protein. Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 Receptor (IGF-1R) consists of alpha and beta-subunits, which are disulfide-linked in a beta-alpha-alpha-beta configuration in the mature receptor. The a-subunit is completely extracellular, while b-subunit spans the membrane and the intracellular portion has intrinsic tyrosine kinase activity. This antibody crossreacts with rabbit but does not react with rat. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25-1:50 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 1 mM EDTA buffer, pH 8.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Breast carcinoma. Cellular localization: Cell membrane |
| Concentration | 100ug/ml approximately |
| Buffer | This antibody is supplied as purified ascites containing sodium azide as preservative. |
| Storage | Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label. |
| Research Area | Growth Factors, Diabetes, Metabolism, Receptors |
| Restrictions | For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union |
