Additional Information

Alternative name Insulin-Like Growth Factor-I Receptor (IGF-1 R)
Immunogen BALB/C mice were immunized with IGF-1R/3t3 mouse fibroblasts transfected with human type I IGF-receptor cDNA.
Format Purified
Isotype IgG1  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone 24-31
Specificity This antibody stains with a 125 kD protein. Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 Receptor (IGF-1R) consists of alpha and beta-subunits, which are disulfide-linked in a beta-alpha-alpha-beta configuration in the mature receptor. The a-subunit is completely extracellular, while b-subunit spans the membrane and the intracellular portion has intrinsic tyrosine kinase activity. This antibody crossreacts with rabbit but does not react with rat.

Application Details

Application Notes Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25-1:50 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 1 mM EDTA buffer, pH 8.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Breast carcinoma. Cellular localization: Cell membrane
Concentration 100ug/ml approximately
Buffer This antibody is supplied as purified ascites containing sodium azide as preservative.
Storage Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.
Research Area Growth Factors, Diabetes, Metabolism, Receptors
Restrictions For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union
