Additional Information

Alternative name Myogenin
Immunogen BALB/C mice were injected with recombinant protein containing rat myogenin amino acid 30-224.
Format Ig-fraction
Isotype IgG1  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone F5D
Specificity This antibody is specific to 34 kD protein known as Myogenin. Myogenin is a member of family of myogenic regulatory genes, which includes MyoD, myf5 and MRF4. These genes encode a set of transcription factors, which are essential for muscle development. Expression of myogenin is restricted to cells of skeletal muscle origin. This antibody cross reacts with mouse, rat and cat.

Application Details

Application Notes Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:50-1:100 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Rhabdomyosarcoma. Cellular localization: Nuclear Other Applications: Western Blotting, Immunoprecipitation, Immunofluorescence, Gel Supershift
Concentration 100ug/ml approximately
Buffer This antibody is supplied as purified immunoglobulin fraction containing sodium azide as preservative.
Storage Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.
Research Area Cytoskeleton, Cell/Tissue Markers
Restrictions For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union
