Additional Information
| Alternative name | PTEN |
| Immunogen | BALB/C mice were injected with prokaryotic recombinant protein corresponding to a 200 amino acid C-terminal region of the PTEN molecule. |
| Format | Supernatant |
| Isotype | IgG1 kappa (Matching secondary antibodies) |
| Clone | 28H6 |
| Specificity | This antibody reacts with human PTEN also known as MMAC or TEP1. PTEN is a tumor suppressor gene, which encodes a multifunctional phosphatase, which is expressed almost ubiquitously and regulates the cell cycle, apoptosis and cell adhesion. Deletions and mutations of PTEN occur in a range of cancers including breast cancer, malignant melanoma, endometrial carcinoma, bladder carcinoma, small cell lung carcinoma and endometrial ovarian carcinoma. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:50-1:75 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 to 60 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the end user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Tonsil. Cellular localization: Nuclear |
| Concentration | 100ug/ml approximately |
| Buffer | This antibody is supplied as culture supernatant containing sodium azide as preservative. |
| Storage | Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label. |
| Research Area | Signaling, Transcription Factors |
| Restrictions | For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union |
