|Immunogen||A synthetic peptide derived from the C-terminal region of Survivin.|
|Specificity||This antibody reacts with a 16.5 kD protein, known as Survivin. Survivin is an inhibitor of apoptosis protein. It is expressed in the G2/M phase of the cell cycle in a cycle-regulated manner. At the beginning of mitosis, survivin associates with microtubules of the mitotic spindle. Disruption of survivin-microtubule interactions results in loss of survivins antiapoptosis function and increased Caspase-3 activity. This antibody cross reacts with human and mouse.|
|Synonyms||Api4, TIAP, AAC-11, survivin40, bir5a, survivin, bir1-A, svv1, XBIR1, Xsvv1, birc5.1-A, xSurvivin, XSurvivin1, LOC398389, LOC398418, Su2, birc5.1-B, BIRC5, BIR1, Survivin, Survivin1, xSurvivin1, SIX, Su1, api4, svv2, birc5, epr-1, xSurvivin2|
|Application Notes||Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:250-1:500 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation conditions should be determined by the user. High temperature treatment of formalin-fixed tissue sections with 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 must be performed prior to the immunostaining. Positive Control: Stomach. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic|
|Buffer||Purified immunoglobulin fraction of rabbit antiserum against human Survivin containing sodium azide as preservative.|
|Storage||Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.|
|Research Area||Cancer, Apoptosis/Necrosis, Neurology|
|Restrictions||For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union|
