Specificity
This antibody is specific to a 40 kD protein, which is identified as Thyroid transcription factor (TTF-1). TTF-1 is expressed in epithelial cells of the thyroid gland and lung. TTF- 1 stain primary lung adenocarcinoma and small cell carcinoma but does not stain colon and breast carcinoma.

Application Notes
Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Lung, thyroid. Cellular localization: Nuclear
