Specificity
This antibody reacts with a 32 kD protein, known as XRCC2 (X-Ray Cross Complementing 2). XRCC2 is essential for repairing the double strand DNA breaks by homologous recombination between sister chromatids. It is homologous to Rad1. Five human homologues of RAD 51, XRCC2, XRCC3, RAD51B, RAD51C, RAD51D, interact among themselves to form one big complex or several smaller complexes.

Application Notes
Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25-1:50 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation conditions should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Testis. Cellular localization: Nuclear, cytoplasmic Other Applications: Western Blotting
